Dr. Noser provides a grandfatherly like feel to the class. The material covered for this class is extremely difficult to make sense of, but his examples and lectures are spoken and given with clarity so that the class is a breeze. I would strongly suggest not missing a class and strongly suggest taking Dr. Noser.

Professor Noser CARES about his students. He is there to help you. You MUST not only come to class in order to understand the material, but you MUST also be attentive and go home and work on the "suggested problems" in order to become comfortable with the material. If you do that, and have any questions, which you probably will, Professor Noser will spend any amount of time helping you!!! This class is DIFFICULT. There are NO short cuts. There is no other way to put it. Tests are similar to "suggested problems" and you have a formula sheet that is provided by Professor Noser for the tests. Do the work and you will get the grade you deserve. Good luck!

Professor Noser is a great teacher. He tries to make the class as easy as he can. He provides any formula you will need for the Exams and basically writes out an outline on how to do the problems. Really the only way you should get something wrong is to plug in a wrong number/miscalculate. All of the exams are weighted differently and he will count the one you do best on the most and the worst one the least.

Statistics is a difficult course but one that is needed for business degrees. Professor Noser is very good with the material and doesn't get aggravated if you don't understand and he has to reexplain things. Although attendance is not necessary it would be difficult to pass the course if you are not there unless you are extremely good with math and understanding things from the book. I would highly recommend taking Professor Noser. He is a great person in general and does well with teaching the material.

Stats is hard any way you cut it and I'm not a math person, so for me to come out with a B, nearly an A, I was pleased. Dr. Noser is very calm, his voice is almost too soft, I wanted to fall asleep most of the time. He doesn't always take up the homework, but I found it fairly predictable when he would or wouldn't take it up. His tests aren't too horrible if you study, but studying for tests is definitely a must!! He allows you to skip one problem which is helpful. I always skipped the one with the most amount of points because it took longer to do and I was sure I'd get all of those points without making a stupid mistake. His exams are weighted 20, 30, and 40%, but your highest counts 40, next highest 30, and so on. Homework is 10%. Be prepared to work for it, but a good grade is attainable.

First off I am horrible at Econ... I was terrified I would fail this class and I am coming out with an A. Dr. Noser is awesome, he is a great teacher. On the first exam I made a 72, one the second a 88, the third a 97, and the final which is not cumulative a 91... He exams are not weighted evenly so if you fail the first two, which many people do then you can still get a B in the class. The last two exams are much easier than the first two. Just make sure you do the assigned homework becuase the exams are exactly like the homework, and on three of the exams he let us pick one problem to drop. There are only like four big problems on each exam... Dr. Noser is great, he teachs in a really relaxed environment...

For those of you that did well in Michelle Trawick or Thomas Noser's 206 class you will do well in this class. The catch is thought you need to take them back to back semesters so that you do not forget the material. 50% of what you do in 306 is what you did in 206. Like I say its not bad do some of the homework problems and you should be fine.

This was probably the most difficult course I have ever taken. I am assuming (praying) I pulled a C off as I just took the final today. I felt like I have been put through the ringer and back after taking Dr. Noser's final. He is a good teacher, the material is just very difficult to understand. Class averages on the first two exams were 69 and 71. DO THE HOMEWORK AT LEAST 3 NIGHTS EVERY WEEK!!!!

The tests are only problems which are similar to the homework problems. He allows you to skip one question on each test and the higher test grades are weighted much heavier than the lowest. The material is difficult but he will do anything to help you understand it, all you have to do is ask. I sat in his office 30 minutes before the final asking questions.

Stats is a hard class either way you go about it b/c normal people don't think that way. Dr. Noser is the easiest guy you can take. It is a little rough in the beginning but hang in there until after the first test. Your mind will start thinking the stats way and it will get easier. We had 3 tests and 5 hwk assignments. Your highest test score counts as 40% of your grade, the next highest as 30%, the lowest as 20%, and the hwk as 10%. He also drops your lowest hwk grade. He is a very nice guy and will help you with anything just don't underestimate the class like I did and think it will be a breeze.

This course is difficult for some, but I would definitely recommend taking Noser if you have to take this course. He is the best. The key to this course is to DO THE HOMEWORK. If you don't, you will be lost. His homework problems are almost identical to the problems on the exams so if you know them well you will do fine on the exams. Also, he generally lets you skip a problem of your choice on the exams, so that is also very helpful. He also weights the exams so that your higher scores are worth more than your lower scores which is a BIG plus! Dr. Noser is a very caring instructor and tries to help you understand the material in any way that he can, if that means repeating it a hundred times for you. Would certainly recommend!!!

Dr. Noser is definitely the man to take if you have to take Statistics. He explains things really well and has a great sense of humor. He also uses a weighted grading scale which really helps boost your grade. I recommend always doing the homework. It really helps you understand things, and he generally collects it for grading. Statistics itself is kind of hard to understand, but he puts things into English and is always willing to help in any way he can.

Dr. Noser is by far the most caring professor I have encountered. A wonderful person who really strives to help his students succeed. The class is hard and you have to work, but he will help if you ask. He gives homework assignments which are a preview of what kind of problems will be on the test so do all the homework, believe me it helps! I would also recommend going to class even though he doesnt' keep track of it, YOU WILL BE LOST IF YOU DON'T GO TO CLASS!

He has to be the easiest teacher for this course. Your test are not all worth the same amount. The one you score the highest is worth the most, then your next highest is worth a littles less, and so on. This means you can do poorly on a test and still make an A. Also, on homework you can get extra credit!!

If you don't understand something he will help you for as long as it takes. If you take him for 206, take him for 306. You use the same book.

Dr. Noser reminds me of a really calm Robin Williams. He's hilarious in class, and he's a great teacher. I wish I had taken him for Econ 206 as well. He uses a good grading system that really gives you a good boost if you are borderline on a grade. Although the material is difficult (it is statistics afterall), he does a very good job of making it all make sense.
