I am not good at math at all but did great in this class. The teacher does in fact have a stong french accent but you get used to it over time and can understand him better. There was a generous amount of extra credit that he gave which did help me out. I wouldn't stress if you have Jean-Claude for a teacher, it's not so bad! He gives you practice quizzes and then a real quiz the next class meeting. They are exactly the same only the numbers are changed. I did not buy a book for this class because it wasn't needed but it was a summer class.
