Due to the fact that no history professors are cool/laid back/ funny, Phillips isn't that bad. Western Civ is bad all together, but Phillips made as many jokes about it as he could. I don't mean he is really funny or a jokester, b/c he is still serious all the time, but he can be funny if you understand his jokes. Don't make him mad, he's not to be taken lightly. but he is funny and the class is definetely not as bad as it could be. When you take this class, try to get him. The tests are NOT hard if you study what he tells you, and neither is the final. Sure you have to watch some boring movies here and there, but you'll live.....I did.
