First of all, this is the Web class version of Macro-econ that Lile teaches.
For the rest of you still reading: Macroeconomics can be a hard class in general, and I believe that the C is my own fault. The material is challenging, especially if you have trouble with economics in general, and the book seems to be a bit vaugue. However, Lile will help you if need help.
My problems were two things, first of all being the tests. I got all B's, two low and one high, up until the last test which just went awful (you get you're grades back immediately through Blackboard.) Now, I understand many teachers only give four tests, but these ones were always hard anyway, and I feel a little bruised by the whole thing.
The other issue is the homework, which if you do not turn in you fail (always turn it in before you take the corresponding test.) Now, I always turned in my homework, and this was not supposed to be ‘graded’ anyways, but I still would have liked better reaction to said homework. He would send an e-mail back if something specific was awry, but this seemed like a lot of work only to have it be an affect on whether I went up or down if I had a borderline grade.
Still though, Lile does correspond well and has discussion board topics that helped overall knowledge, although not test knowledge, and I am appreciative for the effort there.
So if you're considering this, especially as a first web class, remember macro-economics in general is hard, and maybe the lack of traditional classes may not be for you quite yet, although I still strongly support Web classes.
