Don't buy the textbook, I opened it once the entire semester and really even then I didn't need it. Mr. Haynes is a funny teacher and it makes the class easier. There are a lot of notes but theres also open discussion about them and the notes are like common sense so a lot of people dont even write them. We have tests like 5 or 10 question test after every note day super easy... you just have to be there, sometimes he even does give me test as a way of proving your here. His attendance policy isnt strict but Idd show up in case of these tests. You only have three speeches... pretty easy and fun class.

Haynes is a really cool, professional, and helpful professor. I had him my first semester and i am so glad i did. His test are kind of tough, but if you just spend like 20 mins studying you will do great. Just dont miss your speech days or test days... any teacher would get mad about that. He is really calm and caring of his students. He is my favorite professor ever. He also is hilarious. He is young and can relate very well. He is a very smart and well rounded guy

He is a very good professor because he makes the information easy to understand. He's really funny and it is definitely an overall enjoyable class.

Very easy class, can't say that I learned alot, but he's a pretty funny guy. However, he's overly cocky at times and has a bit of a filthy mouth.

Professor Haynes is a good teacher, funny guy. He sticks pretty close to the book so you might not have to take all the notes. He provides study guides before each test. You only have to give two solo speeches, do one interview, and one group decision thing. My advice- pick people you know can communicate well to work with. The girls in my group barely made any sense when they talked, especially in front of the class. It was horrible and your grade depends on them somewhat. Overall, an easy class.

Clint is a cool guy, but this class is kind of lame. Powerpoints are everyday that are pretty much the book word per word. His tests were only hard, because you may interpret things differently than he does, they were way too much opinion. Not a hard class, but watch out...the B snuck up on me. I was definitely expecting better.

Clint Haynes is an awesome professor. His class has a very laid back atmosphere. You take quiet a few notes, but it is still a good class. If you have a fear of public speaking, then this is definitely the class that you want to be enrolled in, because you will just feel so comfortable in his class. I would take any class that he taught. He is the most awesome professor that I have ever had at Western.

Clint is so cool. He really knows how to relate to students. He gives quite a few notes, but it is a pretty easy class. He makes speaking a lot more comfortable for his students. There are four written tests, but they are fill in the blank with an answer box to choose the answer from. Take this class. He is awesome.

If you want to really well in this class, talk about sex and drugs as much as possible. He will nod and laugh right along with you. The class is cool but I think that Clint Haynes is a moron and most of the students that I was in class with were also morons.

He is very funny and a good teacher. He reminds me of a high school teacher in many ways. He gives you extra credit opprotunities, his tests aren't that bad and there's plenty of notes. Make sure you look at the sylibus for dates cause he may not tell you. I haven't made that good of grades on my speeches but I just may not be good at it, although I think he may pick favorites.

Mr. Haynes is a young professor, so he bases his class more on his students' level. I really enjoyed the class, because of the easy-going and laid back atmosphere. I definitely recommend him. The class is pretty easy, after you get out of the nervousness stage when giving a speech.

I hate public speaking, but managed to not hate this class. Haynes makes it fun during his lectures. We had to give four speeches and take four tests. We did a few handbook assignments and had to turn in outlines of our speeches. He grades easily at first but as the class goes on, he expects more from his students. The point values of the speeches also increases.

Clint is a pretty cool guy, and he actually makes the class fun. he's young so he's not all uptight about the class. However, he does take teaching serious and you do have to really work on your speeches. I studied about 2 days before every test and did pretty well. I would strongly recommend the class. I was really dreading pub. speaking and Clint made it fun, and not to mention I actually learned something. Take the class, the teacher is better than any other on i've heard of.

Clint Haynes is an awesome teacher. He allows you to use note cards for the test and also he post the study guide for every test on the web (including the final). The essays aren't really essay they are short answer and extremely easy. He allows you to miss up to 2 days without effecting your grade. He likes to joke and cut up, but is serious about taking notes. He is a cool guy, that is down to earth.

Good teacher and grades speeches fairly, makes you a better speeker. Not an intimidating if you are scared of public speaking. He makes the class as fun and entertaining as he can. One of my easier classes. Exams are easy as you are able to use a notecard and basically write down everything you need to know on it. Good guy and teacher.

Clint is a fun teacher and he makes it interesting. He gives a study guide with all the information for the test on it and he lets you use a notecard on the test. Everything that is on the test you cover in class. He also grades speeches fairly easy.
