She's not the most exciting professor at WKU. That being said, she's far from the worst.
There are 10 map quizzes worth 10 pts each, and you can drop your two lowest map quiz scores. Attendance is mandatory (it's worth as much as 45 points), so show up. The lectures are from PPT slides -- they are a rough outline of the material in the book.
Regarding what some have said about the tests, notes, and the book... Don't read the whole chapter. Read about the things she addressed in the lectures and which are contained in the PPT slides. A general rule of thumb is that if she didn't mention it in class, it won't be on the test.
Personally, I never opened the book until the night before the test. I'd look at my notes, then look in the book to supplement the material addressed by the notes. Don't worry about trying to learn everything in the book, since she only tests over those things she mentions in class.
