Dr. Trainor's class was very enjoyable.
All of his lectures are on his website in PPT format. Don't buy the book, you won't need it. And if you do, it won't help enough to justify the cost. He's pretty laid back and enjoys teaching.
His tests can be rough, even though he allowed us a 3X5 notecard "cheat sheet" for three of them. They're all multiple choice, and many of the questions require problem solving. You'll get a fun review before each exam (in the form of Jeopardy, Survivor, etc. -- all of these are on his website as well), and if you do well on the reviews, you'll get a few extra points. Be SURE that you take his practice exams, as they'll better prepare you for the exams more than anything else will.
There are three assignments. Two are worth 15 pts each and one is worth 30 pts. DO THEM. Even if you halfass them, do them. You'll get some points just for making an effort, even if it's a weak one, and they can boost you up to the next highest letter grade.
There's not much of a reason for you to not do well in this class. The notes aren't overwhelming, you work a lot of problems in class, you get extra credit reviews before your tests, everything you do in class is archived online for your reference, and his practice tests are VERY helpful.
