This class is not your typical gen ed class. It is not easy, it's difficult to make out what he is saying. I found myself looking at the people beside me for the notes rather than relying on what the teacher was actually teaching. I can tell, that music is important to him, but he has a lot of trouble relaying music history to a class. He doesnt respond well to either questions asked in class or emails either. Over all although he seems to care about teaching and music, I would reccomend taking another teacher for what could potentially be an easy class. I also found that when i studies the study guides that were handed out in class, there was always a lot more asked on the test, that I felt unprepared for.

I believe I am going to make a B at the least, with a lot of hard work and study. This teacher speaks poor, poor english! He is very cocky, and can never make his mind up on anything. He isn't very clear. I guess the only good thing about the class is that he reads straight out of the book, so you can highlight instead of taking notes. But that still doesn't mean the information he reads is on the test. And extra credit is only if you attend one of his concerts that he plays in. Which is never very convienient. I kick myself for taking this class! REPEAT: HE CAN'T SPEAK ENGLISH!!!

DON'T TAKE THIS TEACHER!! He is an AWFUL teacher. He doesn't speak good english, so it was hard for me to understand him. He makes music soo much harder than it really is. The class itself wasn't that hard, you just had to survive lecture with him. I would leave that class in such a bad mood because of him.
