He is a lawyer with not much time. I took his night class once a week and he is GREAT!! He arrives late and we live early. Everything you need to know for his test he tells you. I would recommend going to class. He is fun to listen to and has lots of experience. Overall great class!

Sparks is an AMAZING teacher!!!! He is a lawyer so he has a lot of real life experience to bring into the class. He does not really teach from the book at all. The exams only cover what he talks about in class. Reviewing that stuff in the text may be helpful to some but it is not necessary to have the book. I learned so much information in this class that is going to help me in my everyday life!! As long as you take really good notes, and yes there are a lot, you should do fine on the exams. There are 3 exams worth 100 points each and one paper. You get to drop your lowest grade (test or paper) or if you are happy with your grade you can not take the third exam. I would seriously seriously recommend taking Sparks!! His class is fun and entertaining and you always learn something great!!!!! =)

This class is one of the easier accounting classes offered in the accounting program. There is 2 tests a final and a paper.
If you are satisfied with your first two test grades and the grade received on your paper you dont have to take the final. However if you choose to take the final it is cumulative. Sparks shows extreme interest in this class but the class just seems to drag on throughout the night because you only meet once a week. I would recommend this class as an elective for all accounting majors.

This class was fun! A lot of material is repeated from MGT 300, but Mr. Sparks makes the class very interesting. It's a night class, but he only keeps you two hours...plus those go by quickly because the class is so interesting. Reading the textbook is helpful to clarify some things, but the tests come from his notes. There are two tests and a cumulative final. You also have to write a 5-8 page paper about various accounting scandals. He allows you to drop the lowest grade (so you don't have to take the final if you're satisfied with your other grades). You do have to write the paper; you can't take the three tests and not write the paper and drop that grade. This is an easy class, but you do learn quite a bit. He offers real-life examples from cases he has witnessed as a local attorney.

Sparks is a great professor. He is a lawyer and has many real world examples to give the class. He tries to teach the class in a variety of ways while using some movie clips to talk about various concepts. There are only two tests and a final the whole class, and you can drop one of these so if you do well on the first two tests you don't have to take the final. However, you do need to study for the tests because they are not a breeze and can be tricky.

This is an easy night class. Don't get me wrong on the easy part you do have to study some, cause the tests are not a cake walk. You can drop one of your lowest Test Grades which is great cause that mean you can drop the final if you do well on the other two tests. Great class, those who take it will enjoy it.

Good professor, good class, read a lot, he takes attendence. I had a night class so it got boring, but overall he is a very nice guy, just wants the respect of people coming to class and not tardiness or leaving early.

Dr. Sparks class is very interesting. He tries to make it fun, but at times it can be boring especially a night class. He is lenient and will try to help you out. I advise you to not miss any classes, because he covers a lot of material, but he is the guy to take.

Mr. Sparks is an awesome professor. He knows what he is talking about because he is a lawyer. Lots of group activity. You can drop one test grade. I highly recommend this class!
