Additional Comments |
Dr. Crawford is a fair professor. I attended his class fewer than most (which means I didn't have many of the notes), didn't bother with buying or reading the textbook. But what I DID do is to attend the review sessions that he often gives the night before the next exam. People who fail his tests must either: a.) Not attend at all/don't care. b.) Try really hard to fail.
Although class attendence is required, Dr. Crawford is quite accepting of extenuating circumstances, and is generally rather amiable (friendly) if you approach him in the same manner. Expect to get some feedback if you get in his face, however (I myself did not do this, but I have seen others who have). He does have a tendency to get off topic in his lectures, but I've yet to take a test where he hasn't covered everything on his lecture outlines (which is all you're held responsible for on the tests). To be honest, when I didn't attend class, I'd just fill in the gaps of my notes with Google or Wikipedia; it isn't hard to find any of the answers, and they're generally common sense in the first place. It seems to me that a pet peeve of his is sitting outside of your typical seat, since he uses that as his chart to take attendance, be forewarned. Other than that, I've had no difficulty with his class and generally found the lectures (when I attended) to be somewhat interesting; he seems to thoroughly enjoy teaching the class.
