Additional Comments |
This review is for the bi-term PLC section of the full semester class EE285
This is a really fun class to take. Joel teaches the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) portion of this class. The class is 2hr credit but is scheduled for 4 hours during the week. Since this is the case, Joel usually only holds class for just over 2 hours a week. The other 2 hours is implied time that you will work on your projects. The grading method of this class is project based. You have four programming projects during the bi-term that constitute your grade. 2 large projects and 2 minor projects that build on the larger ones. There are no specific due dates on the projects. If you don't have the PLC working correctly on time, Joel is great about allowing for extra time. He is also very helpful toward students who have little to no programming background. He'll even help you debug your code. Take this class, it was my favorite this year!
