She is a GREAT teacher. Really nice. Class was easy and not too boring. All notes are powerpoint and she basically reads from them during class. Extra credit available a few times. Was allowed a cheat sheet for most of the test. i crammed all the powerpoint notes unto it so when i was taking the test all the info was there for me to find. Easy class if you put forth any effort at all. If you have an A in the class you dont have to take the final! :)

Notes are on Blackboard so you can print them off and make side notes. Her test are also on Blackboard. Her test are tricky, because of the way she words them. When I had her we got to use a cheat sheet on all of out test but 2. The final is cumulative but we got to use a cheat sheet on it, it was 110 questions so each question was worth 1 point. You have to write 2 critical thinking papers which are worth 25 points each. She gives you an optional extra credit where you can find 10 articles and write a couple of sentences on how they relate to the class these are worth 1 point each.
She takes attendence twice per class with your "clickers" which are mandatory. She also give participation points each class period. She ask question about things she ahs gone over and you click in with your clickers and if you get it right you get so many points. She also gives you 15 extra points if you do not miss any classes. She does show-n-tell during the semester about things you are studing, each show-n-tell is worth 5 points.
If you come to every class and do all the assignments you can get an "A" out of this class.

I liked her she was ok. But her tests are hard to understand her questions have 4 answers that all could be the right answer it is just so confusing how she words the answers.

There are many horror stories about Dr. Pack, but I found her class to be pretty easy. There is at least 10 extra credit points on every test, plus she gives extra credit for article summaries, perfect attendance, following instructions, and sometimes other random things. I didn't read the first chapter and made over a 100 on every test. My advice is to write down plenty of examples in your notes.

She definitely isn't as bad as every one says. She wants you to understand the material and the tests reflect this. Take notes in class , read the chapters, and study for tests and you'll make a good grade. She wants you to do well and gave us an opportunity for like 50 extra credit points over the semester. She does expect you to be there for class and checks attendence at breaks. All tests are on Blackboard and multiple choice. .

She's not as bad as everyone says. As long as you do your reading and take decent notes, the class isn't that hard. All the tests are done on blackboard in class and they are all multiple choice.

The only thing I had a problem with was her attendance and tardy policy which negatively affected my grade. Her tests are difficult but if you study VERY VERY carefully and for a long time you will be OK. She has a great amount of knowledge and is actually quite personable outside the classroom.

You must read and study to do well in this class. Dr. Pack is a good teacher but sometimes knows the material to well. Just read the chapter, reread her lecture notes, and study and you should be ok.

Stay out of her classroom. Tough teacher and class. She goes into a lot of depth. Very strict. Her tests are extremely hard. All multiple choice.... 85 to 105 questions on each.

I don't think she understands the fact that this is simply an introductory course. If you don't study every night and do EVERYTHING she has you do... you will have no chance.

Dr.Pack was an awesome teacher this semester. She really cares about her students and always returns e-mails promptly. She gives the class a voice in how tests are administered and the material on them. She really wants everyone to do good. I highly recommend her and any of her classes to everyone. If you live in BG, the drive to Glasgow(where she teaches) is definitley worth it!

Although I really liked Dr. Pack, I did not like the course. I felt that she understood the information so well that she could not bring herself down to our level.
