This class was only offered online, and it was HORRIBLE! I've never met the man, but know that he is the WORST professor I've ever had at WKU. On the phone, he seems pretty nice, but over email and Blackboard he is a stickler. On the syllabus, it has weeks when things are going to be but he doesn't always follow it. The first test was suppose to be over chapters 1,2 and 3 but it really included 4. He would tell us when a test would be 2 days before we had to take it. He has no business teaching an online class because it is not structured well WHAT SO EVER! The final had to be taken at the testing center, but wasn't that difficult. Overall, he's TERRIBLE at teaching!

Dr. E is a nice guy. But he was one of the worst teachers I have EVER had. He put everything on power points and rushed through them and mumbled about them. His study guides don't include a good 20% of the information on the test, but he never bothers to tell you that. For our final exam, he skipped through power point presentations repeatedly. When it came time for our last day of class, he wasn't there. We never reviewed for our final exam. He never went over the study guide with us. And then he wasn't there on the day of the final! Everyone was upset because no one knew what was going on. On top of everything else, the class is painfully dull. The book is a waste of money. I never used mine. He'll say you should get it, but dont. Its worthless.

I would avoid this class if you can. Take Nicholson instead.

ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL

If you love environmental science you can be guaranteed that this man will ruin your love for it and for learning.

Dr. Emmanuel makes learning horrible. Studying is no problem - working hard comes with education but when you are forced to take such a pathetic waste-of-time boring teacher it makes the process of education a nightmare.

PLEASE WKU hire a better educator.

Dr. Emmanuel is not a educator, he is just a man with a degree trying to tell you stuff. He fails at it and makes the class miserable.

If you have to take him. E-mail the president first and tell him that you want another teacher!

Together we students can get REAL teachers - ones who can inspire and educate not make learning a nightmare.

He is from Africa so you can't understand him, but is very intellegent. He gets over your head sometimes. His tests are very difficult and questions can be obscure. I learned a lot but hated his class. Be ready to study your butt off if you want an A. He is nice but not very leniant.
