This is by far the best professor I have ever had. NOT the right professor for a slacker student, or someone with trouble in government. She replaced my original professor last semester after he took a leave. It ws difficult for her to catch the class up to speed, but I chose to take her syllabus ove rmy old professors. Her assignments were challenging and interesting: as they left much room for the student's voice to be heard. Her lectures were laid back with minimal note-taking, mostly handouts that had fill-in-the-blank. Her attitude meshes well with 20 something students, and her educational background is STELLAR. She offers a fresher perspective on american government than your typical 50+ conservative retired teacher, and is logical and on level with her students. ONLY CRITICISM: She handed out RIDICULOUSLY large exam reviews, which covered more than 3x the exam material... only one-two days before the exam. Not enough time to study that much material, and not narrowed down enough to have focused on the important points. I will take her classes again though... I would rather be challenged than bored.
