The labs are done for you, because the equipment costs so much, they don't want you touching it. You have pre-lab quizzes that are pretty tough. You also have lab reports that turn out to be about 15 pages or so and must be written well. The final is really hard, but he will answer questions for you and I think he curves the grades. You also have a poster presentation to present to other CHEM teachers, which can be hard or easy, depending on how much you prepare. Nonetheless, Dr. Pan is probably the nicest teacher I've had and cares about how you do in life.

Dr. Pan is a great professor! He is real laid back with his quizzes and tests. He gets right to the point and doesn't waste anyones time. He is very understanding and will work with any student to work out any problem. He is also a lot of fun and as hard as it is for me to say this, made PChem lab kind of fun. Another good note is that the final is open book, open notes, open everything!
