Dr. Ganze is a great teacher. She is very intelligent and loves what she teaches and this will motivate you to love it too. She makes you write two papers, if you do poorly on them she gives you an opportunity to rewrite one of them and she grades pretty hard on those analytical papers. Her tests consist of quote recognition/ Identification/explication as well as short answer. If you go to class everyday, do the readings and participate in class discussion (in class and written), then you will do just fine. She has pop quizzes so make sure you do the reading.
When you write the papers make sure you it's just you and the text and you think outside the box, also give yourself plenty of time to revise them. I thought her tests were moderate, but I read the material. If you read and study then you'll be good.
She ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT let you make up work or quizzes unless you have had a serious illness or a doctors note. So if you like to sleep in reconsider it. However, if you talk to her and let her know that you are really sick she will help you out. She cares a lot about her students and is a very nice lady.
If you go to her class everyday, do the readings and participate you will do well and learn a lot. Never be afraid to go and talk to her if you are confused of what is going on in class, she is very helpful. If you get the chance to take Dr. Ganze, do it no body else is better.
