You have to be extremely organized for this class. A video taped teaching session is required along with a KTIP lesson planning project. The only problem I have is she does not grade assignments until the end of the semester but she does provide feedback so this is a plus. I don't fear taking her because I know she does not tolerate slackers.

This is an online course. She uses articles from professional journals, etc, so the information is timely and can be tailored to the needs of the class. I really enjoyed the class, and learned quite a bit. She's good about answering questions and helping when you need it.

Mrs. Applin is very helpful and knowledgeable. She is willing to help you any way she can, but the course is not a cake walk. In and out-of-class assigments are required and the tests are mostly essays and take up the entire class period. I would take her again.

Prof. Applin is AWESOME! She understands students and is there to help. All her notes she makes into powerpoints that you can print out and bring to class to add any additional notes and you can use your notes and book on the tests. She has a few papers that you have to do but she gives you many opportunities to come to her for constructive help and will assist you in any way she can. She is a fun and interactive professor that makes class interesting. You will debate, have class discussions, group presentations (don't be scared--they are cake), and basically you will leave the class feeling prepared for the real world. At midterms she passes out surveys for you to fill out about her so she can adapt her class so it runs better--she asks, looks for, and uses student input. She will give you opportunities for extra credit opportunities and she brings candy to class. She's way cool! I can't say enough positive things about her!
