Dr. Lo is helpful in this class, she goes over the homework and the project in class and allows ample time to complete it. You only have 3 test, but they cover 4 to 5 chapters which can be quite difficult to study for. And she gives out plenty of extra credit for answering questions in class or turn assignments in early. Overall this class is manageable.

Dr. Lo is a challenging, but effective teacher. I think a lot of students misunderstand her. At the beginning of this course, I did not like her either. But, by the end of the semester I loved her and even took her Fin 332 class. Once in 330, I was studying the night before an exam and came upon a problem that I COULD NOT figure out for the life of me. It was almost midnight and the exam was early, so I emailed her about the problem, thinking she would reply when she got to her office in the morning. However, within minutes, I received a reply from her explaining in detail how to solve the problem. She was very polite and even ended the email with a smiley face. Dr. Lo is not rude, she just doesn't reward people who are lazy and don't ask questions when they don't understand, and I believe that is a very respectable trait.

The course has 2 exams and a final, which is not cumulative. There is online homework to complete, and if you get a 100% you get 10 bonus points, so that your score is 110/100. You can attempt each homework 3 times and it's due 1 week after it is assigned. Do the homework!! It was the difference b/t a B and a C for me!

I've always read reviews on here but never decided to write one until now. Lo is an awful teacher. All she does it talk to herself while writing things on the board. She'll occasionally ask the class questions in which you better answer correctly or she rudely tells you no. I'm a finance major in which I actually find Finance pretty interesting, but Lo destroys the subject. Overall, she is just an awful teacher. Try to take someone else if you can.

Don't take this professor. She is horrible. Horrible in everything, worst of all...she is rude, very rude. She needs to go. BIG TIME. I heard Snavely is a good one, so take her!!!!

Ling Lo is an exceptional teacher. She manages to make some of the most difficult material easy to understand. Her in-depth teaching style makes it great if you don't have any prior experience in investment theory.

This is a very hard class and many consider this to be a make or break class. Dr. Lo is always available, she is in her office just about everyday. There are many opportunities for extra credit as long as you read the chapters. I feel that Dr. Lo gives everyone a fair chance to be succesful in her class. I would recommend her to anyone. IF you are lazy and think you can get by better find another teacher.

Ling lo sucks, big time. Not only does she suck as a professor but she sucks at life.

If you want anything other than a C take another professor.
