Mrs. Goodrich was an awesome teacher. She was really nice and tried to accomodate to her students wishes. There was a lot of notes but it is a hard class and everything she gave us was important.

Mrs. Goodrich is by far my favorite teacher this semester!! I have her for both pharm. and med. surg clinical. I want to reiterate that even though she is a great person and teacher.. the class is hard. Difficulty is expected in the nursing program though.. so get used to it. She is very helpful and will meet with you for any of your questions. Really get to know the real person before making judgments like some people in my class.
You get notes to fill in every week as she goes through the power point. You have a mini "test" every week. Even though this may seem overwhelming... you will definitely prefer it this way. She gives you a study guide for the tests which also really helps. You have to write two paper for this class, which can be a lot of work, but they will probably help your grade in the end.
Even though this class is difficult... it could be much much harder. She has a great personality and it is just fun to be around. It is sad that she won't be teaching med surg. clinical next semester tho!

I have to post something because the other post about her is not "entirely" true. She expects a lot from you but I mean come on so does every other nursing prof. in the school of nursing.
The tests are hard.... the slides could be easier to follow for students..... and she will somewhat drill you with questions to test your knowledge in pharm and if you have her for clinical in med surg I...... but she knows her shit. Her tests were hard for me but pharm itself was hard for me because along with med surg I my brain couldn't hold that much info, lol!!!
But anyway.... my only beef with her.... and I'm speaking on behalf on a few other students..... she kind-of told people by midterm if they had a borderline D/C that they should go ahead and either drop pharm as a class or audit the class to save themselves the time....... but the funny thing.... people still had time to pull their grades up and NO ONE from our class was left behind due to a bad pharm grade.
You decide how you feel.... I like her though overall and I only made a C in the class.

Ok, Demara is a nice person but she expects too much from her students. I understand she wants the best from us, but no one was prepared for tests when she lectured!! Everyone basically had to teach themselves. She teaches this class with Ms. Stuergon and Demara does not do as good a job as the latter. Demara really aught to go back to working as a "nurse" and not as a teacher. I don't feel as prepared as I should going into Med Surg II.
Seriously don't listen to her in class. Bring your book and teach yourself. It worked for some of us.
