I took this class online as a spot filler. It was super easy. There were weekly discussion board postings over an assigned question/ topic. We had 4 essays that were to be 1-2 pages long, a midterm, and a final. Everything was online. Very easy!

Dr. Wharton is a pretty good teacher. He kind of has a monotone voice so he can put you to sleep pretty easily. But he counters this showing movies about course material and by having people work in groups every day almost day. There are 5 tests that you have to take, no final, just those 5 tests. So you better study for them and read the book because almost all the material comes from the book. Wharton really is a good teacher to have for Mgt 310 and we often don't have class, so study and get a good grade. PS - you have to get the expensive book!!!

This class proved to be more interesting than I thought it would be. Dr. Wharton likes to do a lot of hands-on exercises in class which you get credit for if you show up for class. He doesn't take attendance but you get credit for the class exercises. There are five tests throughout the semester including the final. The final isn't cumulative and you take it the week before finals week. If you show up for class and use the study guide for the tests then you'll do fine!

I would not recommend anyone to take him. He has no personality what so ever. He is boring with his lectures and he doesn't communicate well with students. In class, he has a dumb look on his face all the time. HE IS HORRIBLE:(

This class was very interesting. The computer simulation of running the business was actually really fun. Of course, we were number one so that made a differene. :-) Good professor!

This course includes the "Business Strategy Game" where you take control of a shoe manufacturing company and compete against all the other groups taking MGT 498. This class is great because you actually have something where you can apply what you have learned, it's not all theory. One of the few classes that I actually got excited about and enjoyed going to. You have to do a presentation at the end of the project, but if you did well (like we did), that's no big deal, just a time to gloat.
