Dr. Zhao really cares about her students. She is adorable and although she wants you to know the material, she will joke around with you a bit and make it more interesting. She assigns 5 discussion boards and 11 quizzes over the course of the semester (she lets you drop the lowest quiz though.) There are 2 exams.

This course is great and so is Dr. Zhao. She makes the material as interesting as possible and is always on time to class, and always in a good mood. She is accommodating to students and wants everyone to do well and have a positive experience. This class, however, is for serious students who attend class REGULARLY. There are 11 open book quizzes throughout the semester, and as the quizzes are super easy (self graded), a lot of people lost a letter grade just for missing so many classes. Obviously this has nothing to do with the quality of Dr. Zhao's methods or efficacy. The book is needed and getting an A is doable for any student who takes college seriously.

I had heard some complaints about Dr. Zhao, so I was a little worried about taking her course. However, I ended up loving Dr. Zhao and got an A in the class! All of the notes were posted on blackboard and she took her time explaining the lessons. I feel like I learned a lot from her class and would take her again! Plus, her tests were super easy! My only complaints is that she does speak very low, so I suggest sitting close to the front.
PS: You don't really need to the textbook to pass the course. I bought and only looked at it once.

Zhao is a really good teacher. I was nervous going into this class because psych just sounded hard; however, she made this class so simple. Her lectures consists of powerpoints that she also posts on blackboard. So very rarely and only if you want to do you need to take extra notes. She explains things very well. Other people may say that you can't understand her, but this is not true. She speaks English just fine. There are a very critical performances, 2 case studies, and a teacher interview for this class. All of which are easy. She edits your critical performances before having to upload them to the electronic portfolio. I really had no problems with this class. I got high As on all the tests and I missed several class periods. She does offer "in class activites" that are only worth one point a piece so if you miss a few, no biggie. There is a review sheet for each test and sample test questions posted on blackboard; study these and you will do just fine. I would definitely recommend Zhao for this class. She's a sweetheart and tries her best to make sure all her students understand the material. :)

Dr. Zhao is a great professor for Psychology. I had the online 510 course. There is reading assigned each week for reaction papers that are due. There's a discussion board question due on Thursdays by midnight while your papers are due on Sunday by midnight for the week. The books seem boring and redundant but it's very useful information for a teacher in the field. There is an annotated bibliography due at the end of the semester but she gives you ideas to work on and gives you a jump on resources that can be used. Great class to take!

Dr. Zhao is very easy to understand. She is from China, but taught before moving here in Florida, so her accent isn't that bad. However, the class is very hard to be interested in. Going to class is only a chore, because, although she takes attendance, it isn't counted toward your grade. I missed class a lot, but I read the material, highlighted, and studied the study guides and homework that she gives out, and, although the semester isn't over yet, I'm expecting an A. You have to do three case studies with a partner and present one, which is graded pretty easy. There are also homeworks that you must turn in (TYPED! - she won't take anything handwritten) on test days to serve as study guides, and she also writes seperate study guides. I wouldn't tell you to just stay away from her at all costs, but if there's a different teacher available, I would recommend taking them.
