Let me start off by saying that I have had teachers in the past who I thought could have taught in a better way to reach the students. Even so I have never filled out a negative evaluation until now. Dr. Everett is very intelligent in her field but she does not relate to information to students well at all. There are few notes in this class, which sounds exciting until it comes time to do online assignments. The online assignments do not seem to relate to the information being given in-class. You pretty much have to go through and teach yourself the information in each problem. The in-class work is all worksheets. She does not teach much at all, she may right some formulas on the board for you to reference but that is the extent of it. The rest of the information you must teach yourself. If you ask questions in class be prepared to receive a snarky remark or to not receive an answer at all. Also if you could finally convince her to work out a problem she would do just that. She would work it out but not explain the parts as she went along or why she did what she did. I feel that the reason I ended up with an A in this class is because I spend the majority of my free time looking up videos on each topic and practicing it on my own.

Math 308 is supposed to be an easy course. Dr. Everett does a great job of making the class fun and she makes it easy to get a good grade. You do have to be in class, and you do have to explain your thought process, but she is not going to rip your paper to shreads as long as you're trying. She gives partial credit, so even if you do not know the answer-give it a try. She wants her students to do well- Take Everett. You'll like her!
