Carey is a nice person, and I believe she could be a good teacher...if she really knew what she was talking about. I'm not sure she does. Every class period, she makes at least one mistake. She always tries to play it off and excuse herself somehow, but I've had a lot of Econ classes and never had any professor mess up half as much as she does.
Class isn't mandatory, so our attendance has been horrible. I think we had about 5 people in class one day, and I can't blame anyone for skipping. The material is fairly dry, and a long of times she reviews things she has covered from the previous chapter.
There are 400 points total. 3 exams worth 100 points each, which consist of about 40 MC and 5 problems. Then there is a portfolio project worth 100 points due the last day of class. You have to analysis 15 journal articles from the Wall Street Journal. I suggest getting a head start on these during the semester, because it's a real pain if you put it off until the last week of classes when you have so much other stuff going on as well.
