Additional Comments |
Mrs. Hanks is an excellent teacher and she is a librarian so she knows what she's talking about. Usually we sit in a circle while she discusses the chapter with us as we highlight key authors and nuggets of information. Her tests are fairly easy if you pay attention in class and lightly study. There are many opportunities to engage in literature. For example, you must complete 18-30 reading journals, do 2 book talks, and an annotated bibliography (this goes in your portfolio). So there is a lot of writing involved.
