f u c k ing NJOKU. ugh. Do not take this class with Njoku - he is so rude. There were many times that I felt embarrassed for other people because he was calling them out for stupid s h i t. A girl in my class talked about coming out of the closet and he scolded her for "hanging her head down" when in fact she hadn't. He also called on this asian dude ALL THE TIME when he knew that he couldn't speak english very well and was clearly embarrassed by it. I didn't see either of those people in class again after he insulted them. He gets on to you if you don't bring the book to class, or the syllabus for that matter. He expects you to read every night and take lots of notes and asks you why you didn't read/takes notes if he notices that you didn't. I thought the book was actually interesting and would have enjoyed the class if not for him. The midterm was open notes but I'm not sure if that was just because the student assistant allowed it to be. The "special project" is a waste of time, all you have to do is print stuff off of the internet and put it in a notebook. He also told certain people they would be receiving A's just for answering a question, and to call him up after the class if they didn't get an A. Seriously, he is f u c k ing ridiculous, i dreaded coming to class and skipped it a lot. He makes you write essays during class that he doesn't grade or even look at.
don't take him.
