This was the second class I've taken with him, and he's an easy going guy. Both exams were open note, and most of the papers were based on your personal views and weren't too difficult to complete.

This course overall is ok. You only have two papers to write and two tests: the midterm and the final. The papers require alot of critical thinking, and the tests are actually easier than the papers. Theres also ALOT of reading. Overall I'm sort of glad I took this course because I feel like I'm becoming more of a well-rounded student. Evans actually made this class pretty interesting sometimes.

A pretty good professor. Class is awkward without student involvement. No one ever speaks up. Tests are easy and open note. If you know how to write, you can ace this class.

All of his tests are open book and open notes... which really means that he sucks at teaching. His lectures are kind of all over the place and he doesn't seem very organized. His TA was a better lecturer than him. LOTS of reading but you can get by not reading everything. The class size was rather large in a medium sized room where the windows wouldn't open, so it was a little uncomfortable. I know I could have made an A if I put in more effort but he honestly did not make me interested in the subject, which is disappointing because it could be really fun if it was taught be a good teacher.

Dr. Evans is a nice guy, but his class is boring. His textbook is a collection of photocopied readings he assigns throughout the semester. You also have to read 3 novels. All of the tests are open book. Each test is short answer and essay. He takes attendance every class, but you get 3 unexcused absences before he deducts points. The final is cumulative, but he gives a study guide. Dr. Evans also assigns two papers which are 4 pages minimum each. The class isn't really hard, but it is hard to sit through because he doesn't make the class exciting.

Very boring class. But an easy A. This class could be really fun, Prof. Evans just isn't very fun. Nice guy and lots of opportunities for extra credit. If you go to class and listen the tests are simple.

You must take good notes if you take this course. The exams are all essay but they are open book so if you are familiar with the reading material it is simple. As long as you pay attention you will do fine. My only complaint- sometimes the class discussions go on a little long. Otherwise, I recommend this class if you need to get a gen-ed out of the way.

Professor Evans is a little obsessed with his area of study, but I suppose that is necessary for an good teacher. I received an A in his class, however I did do all the assignments and tried to keep up with the readings. He assigned way too many books and articles for us to read. The up side is that he went over all the readings before the test. And the tests are all essay.

If you need to take Cultural Diversity, I would suggest Mr. Evans. He is a good teacher and gets you to think about some of the concepts. There are not a whole lot of notes, but take them because the test are essay and open note and open book. There are also alot of movies in the class as well. God class over all.

It is really hard to bring yourself to go to class because its boring but you have to go to watch the movies and stuff to do well on the tests. The tests are open book and note so if you are at least familiar with what you are supposed to be reading then you can find it come test time. The guy is nice and looks like santa claus and he drinks water out of a coffee mug.

You really don't need the books because he goe over them in much detail. If you like to watch movies this is a good class to take. (We have watched about 5 this semester).

This class is really easy and that might be its biggest problem. Many people just take it for a joke. You don't have to be in class so many people only come on the days of tests. The tests are essay, but they are open book and notes. He tells you everything that is going to be on the test. I reccomond his class if you have to will power to go.

Just so you all know, this doesnt fit into WKU's little categories. I took it under false pretenses. It will only count as an elective unless you are a folk major i'm sure. First off, this class is very boring. But trust me, you want to tough it out. Make sure you go to class, attendance is vital...thats attendance folks, not whether you are awake or not ;) You have only 2 tests..mid term and final...both are open book/ open note. You have like 4 papers to do also.
