kiraly is very scatter brained, he will tell you that the first day. he also is very lax on due dates, its ok if you turn in stuff weeks, even months late, he accept it. from what i understand he gives more work than the other edu profs, but as long as you turn it in you will get an A.

Mr. Kiraly is a great person but a very spacey and unorganized teacher. You can turn in assignments whenever you want and you never once have to open the book. Tests are case studies where you can b.s. your opinion and get a good grade. He mainly just likes open coversation and discussion and talks alot about how education is changing and progressing in the modern world. Since he doesn't care about much, it's hard to motivate yourself to do the work, but it's nice not to have a time limit on assignments. P.S. class always gets out really early!

Dr. Kiraly is an excellent professor! He enjoys his job and it shows in his teaching! He is a fair man who will work with your schedule! I would definately reccommend him!!

Never, in my entire academic career, have I met a teacher so incoherent, so possessed of ineptitude as John Kiraly. I am utterly appalled that a teacher this terrible is allowed to teach future educators. Do all you can not to take this class.

Mr.Kiraly is perhaps the most random person I have ever met, he did sniff glue as a child so that explains a lot about him. His class has no deadlines, you turn stuff in basically whenever you want. The tests are essay format, but are basically your opinions. Very easy to BS your way through, because I think that is what he does also.

Dr. Kiraly is the best professor I have ever had. He is a wonderful man that opens his students eyes to the world of teaching. Don't forget it is an easy class as long as you do your critical performances. The book is not mandatory. DO NOT BUY IT! If you do not buy the book it is an extra $75 in your pocket. Dr. Kiraly is wonderful. If you take him, you will see what I am talking about.

DR. KIRALY IS A WONDERFUL PERSON. HE TRULY CARES ABOUT HIS STUDENTS, WHICH YOU DONT OFTEN GET IN COLLEGE. HIS TESTS ARE ALL SHORT ESSAY, BUT YOU GET LISTS OF QUESTIONS BEFORE THE TEST, SO NO QUESTION IS A SURPRISE. HE IS A VERY FAIR TEACHER. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM!!!

These other evals are horrible! Dr. Kiraly is GREAT, yes he is unorganized, yes he jokes but is never perverted. Do not get stressed out by it because it all comes together in the end. He is a 73 yr old man that has more energy than I did. He got a tattoo for his 73rd birthday. He also will show you all of his motorcycle gear ( its a BMW motorcycle). If you mess up on work, you can fix it, if you are late on work, its ok. The most important thing is your notebook at the end of the semester. Make it pretty like a teacher would, he is amused by colors and pictures. Dr. Kiraly actually cares about his students.

Dr. Kiraly is awesome! We did nothing but talk and watch movies in this class. He gives you the test questions before the test, and they are really easy. He is a good teacher who understands college students have a lot going on, and he was willing to compromise with us on exams and assignments. Take this class!

Dr. Kiraly is a great guy! He is willing to help his students in any way he can. If you turn in an assignment and don't do well on it he will talk to you and explain what it is he wanted and let you fix the problem. He is very understanding and easy to work with. He may ramble a bit and the class may be a little boring because it is easy material but he does what he can to keep the class moving with group work and videos.

This class was horrible! Dr. Kiraly's unorganized and sporadic teaching was so frustrating. His assignments are unclear and were all due at the same time. After every class meeting I left feeling more confused. The class was a waste of time. The only thing I learned was how not to teach, which he demonstrated for us. I would rather saw my arm off with a rusty spoon than to have to suffer through another one of his classes again.

I do NOT recommend Kiraly! He was so unorganized and it was very frustrating. The syllabus is useless and it was so hard to keep up with what was due. All of the assignments seemed to pile up all at the end of the semester. If you are not a student who likes to suck up to the professor, then do not take Kiraly. If you flirt with him and/or cut up with him, then you are fine. He gives grades based on how well he likes you. Most people had to take the final, although a few did not have to take the final because his favoritism. He is not fair at all. Also, no one's grade was worth the same amount for the same assignment. He gives you opportunities to redo assignments for more credit. I hated this class and thought Kiraly was a perverted jerk. If he disgusts you, I recommend biting your tongue and tolerating him, and make him think you like him, otherwise, your grade will reflect it. I was so worried I was going to do horrible in that class the whole semester and I started out with some C's and D's, but I think he grades easier as the semester goes on. Actually, I don't think he even reads what you write, as long as it is long enough, you can BS it all the way, that's all I did, and got an A. I recommend taking someone else, unless you like unorganized professors, who have a tendancy to misplace/ lose your assignments, and who don't return assignments until months later.

I guess for someone who was an education major this class would be easy but I am not. No offense to anyone wanting to be a teacher but I definatly do not and never wanted to! I had to take this class for my major, which in my opinion has nothing to do with teaching! Since I really don't want to be a teacher and don't care about teaching I had a really hard time talking about what I would teach my students and how I would handle my classroom. Kiraly didn't really give me the help I needed. I had to repeatdly ask him the same questions over and over and over. If you are an EDU major I guess he would be a good teacher but not if you aren't.

Dr.Kiraly is an excellent professor and I recommend him to all "future educators" which is what he will call you all semester. He has a passion for teaching and it definately shows. You couldn't ask for a more laid back professor who's willing to work with you 110%. Don't be afraid by the all essay exams, they're merely personal opinions which he grades very reasonably. I definately recommend Dr. Kiraly!

If you are serious about being a teacher, I recommend not taking Dr. Kiraly. He is a nice man, but a very disorganized teacher. I have learned very little about the field of teaching from his class.

Dr. Kiraly is a nice guy who really likes his students, however, I was frustrated through the entire course because he was unorganized. In the course you do observation reports for fifteen hours of field experience--10 in high school and 5 in elementary school. He also gave a few quizzes from book material. I found that using the textbook's online website to study for tests was helpful. Dr. Kiraly is ok; take someone else if you can.

Dr. Kiraly's class was very easy, but he is one of the worst teachers I've ever had. He is very unorganized, and he never explained how to do any of the assignments. He put everything off untill the last two weeks of the semester. I would recomend taking someone else if you could because you won't learn anything under him.

Dr. Kiraly is an interesting man. He is very passionate about teaching and loves to see students who are. The work sometimes seems irrelevant but it is all needed. Great teacher and a fun class.

Dr. Kiraly is a great teacher. He really cares about his students and teaching. Some of the work seems silly; however, it has to be in your portfolio at the end of the semester.
