The class itself is already a hard class. Novikov can teach somewhat well, but I believe it was his first semester teaching when I had him. He wasn't bad but had a few smart aleck things to say if asked or said something stupid. After the entire class bombed his first test he decided to make all the tests after the Mastering Physics homework problems. So as long as you study the homework and know how to do all of them, he will use them on the test. Each test has five problems. The final has ten. Good luck if you take him. He's alright.
