Dr Shen is hard to understand and although he says he is happy to help, he really isn't. On multiple occasions he has laughed at me when I have asked for help . I have had to be taught material I didn't understand by other professors and students. If you can avoid his class, I would highly recommend it. He has made this semester very hard and stressful for me.

If you get Dr. Shen you are screwed. I'm a biology major who is interested in Micro and I received a C in the class. Mark Clauson, the lab coordinator, makes the exams and Dr. Shen doesn't know how to convey any material so good luck.
