She is crazy and sometimes funny. Class is very boring but she tries to make it interesting. She takes forever to reply to an email. But the worst thing is that she explains things like you are a kid. It is very annoying it takes her 10 min something that should be just mentioned in seconds.

I really liked Dr. McDaniel's class. She gets very excited when she teaches and uses a lot of real world examples during her lectures. Be wary that there is no extra credit and the only points in the class are the quizzes and test. Therefore, don't expect to do bad on the first exam and come out with an A. However, this is not a difficult class and if you attend regularly and take notes there is no reason you shouldn't get a good grade.

Professor McDaniel is a very nice woman but sometimes she "dumbs down" the topics a little too much. The test are very specific to the notes she gives in class. There is no book which makes the course more difficult since it is a science class. Overall she's a good professor but her class is not for the faint of heart.

DONT TAKE MCDANIEL. I took this class after seeing all the little green smilies. This was one teacher proeval messed up on. She teaches like shes teaching bio to 6th graders. The first day my class argued for over an hour if a rock was living. She didn't even tell them until the end of class. I took little notes because she is so boring and teaches so slow. She has online notes but they don't help much. There are 4 tests, 4 quizzes. The quizzes are on blackboard 12 questions each and you can retake them as many times as you want. Tests are 50 questions on scantron. She hand types her quizzes and tests and she has many typos.Sometimes to the point you can't even infer what shes asking. She asked a llot of dumb questions on her tests that are confusing. You can tell the ROCK LADY actually wrote them herself. I hear the foreign guy that teaches Bio 113 is good. take him, not mcdaniel

This class was awful! Dr. McDaniel knows what she's talking about but gives out way to much information. The class is very boring. She does not give homework so you much make sure you do well on her quizzes and exams. Her quizzes are really hard. You take them on blackboard and the questions are really hard to understand. The tests are about 50 questions and they are also mega hard. She doesn't take attendance so many students come as they please. You take a lot of notes in her class which is also a pain and the notes are not useful for her quizzes. This class does not feel like a general education class. To much information for a non science major. I would recommend this class with a different professor.

Mrs. Mcdaniel is, by far, the best professor I have ever had. She has a passion for what she teaches. I learned more from in this class than any other. The class is hard. She let's you know everything you need to. You do have to study hard though.

She is an absolutely amazing. She tends to explain things as if you are in elementary school but it helps a lot! She doesnt move on until she has explained it every way possible. It tends to be a larger class but it has a small class feel because of the way she teaches her class. You have a quiz before every test but you can take it as many times as you want. You dont have homework and all of your documents are on blackboard. You do have notes every class but she writes all of the important information on the board. It's not a bad class at all. I would highly recommend taking her.

If you hate science as much as I do, take her class. She explains everything really well and makes the class fairly easy. All of her notes are online. But you'll want to go to class to hear her explain things. She is really nice and always willing to help you if you need it. Make sure you study hard for the first two tests they cover the most information.

This is really a great class overall. Dr. McDaniel really knows what she is teaching and in general, the material is fairly elementary. Since it is only a gen ed course, she is not strict at all. Attendance is not mandatory, but if you go an take down all the notes she writes on the board, that's all you have to study for the tests. You have 4 tests and 4 online quizzes, that's it. So really one bad grade could pull you down so you do have to study. So take Dr. McDaniel!

I enjoyed lab with Dr. McDaniel. She is such a good professor. Don't miss lab unless you intend on making it up or it will really hurt your grade. Do all the questions in your lab manuals because she may take them up at the end of the class. I highly recommend Dr. McDaniel for lab.

This is a hard course but Dr. McDaniel is a very good teacher. She is extremely enthusiastic and makes the class interesting especially if you like that kind of thing. There are a lot of notes to take but she makes them understandable and gives lots of analogies and stories. The tests come straight from the notes, although I used the book a LOT just to make sure I understood everything. The book is actually very interesting and easy to read so I would recommend it. I would also recommend taking her lab in the same semester since she makes them "fit" together and they are not too bad to handle together. The tests take several hours of studying but they aren't too terribly tricky.

Microbiology Lab is a difficult class, but Mrs. McDaniel is a very enthusiastic teacher. Be sure to pay attention in the labs to everything that is going on and READ THE LAB MANUAL SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE EACH TEST!! All the test questions come directly from information in the manual and things done in class so it's not really that bad if you study it well and do the questions for each lab. It would not be a good idea to miss a lab because they're worth 4 points each and this can be a big help to your grade later on, they also help you to understand the material you are reading.

If you don't want to study then this is not the class for you, but she was so nice and gives you everything you need to know in the notes. She thoroughly goes over the material, and there are reviews you can print off of a website to help prepare you. You just have to be willing to put in the time, but I really enjoyed the labs, they were all interesting and she doesn't try to make the class hard the material just requires memorization. There isn't any extra credit but you don't really need it if you come to all the lab classes because she gives you four points per lab, which adds up to more than a test grade. Don't worry when she starts talking about all these organisms the first day, you'll understand in just a few classes. I would recommend her to anyone wanted to learn alot about Micro.

Mrs. McDaniel is a wonderful professor! I was kind of nervous at the beginning of the semester because I thought the class would be so hard and horrible! But it wasn't! You definitely have to study, there's no doubt about that. If you don't study you will NOT do well on the tests. There are 3 exams and you get 4 points for every day you come to the class. The exams count for 50 points each and your attendance grade will count for more points than the exams! These are the only grades that you will be graded on and no extra credit is offered. She went out of town for one weekend and had to cancel class and we had an online homework assignment to complete, which she did grade but at the end she didn't average it into our final grades because it was going to drag our grade down a point or two. So I thought that was really great of her. She is very enthusiastic about Microbiology and she will crack you up! As long as you print out the Exam study guides from Mark Clauson's webpage (and she gives you the link on the syllabus) you will do good on the exams. I really recommend her, she is a wonderful professor!

Prof. McDaniel is probably one of my favorite professors ever . You don't HAVE to go to class, but it shows if you don't. All of her notes are written on the board and you can't access them any other way; hence, why attendance is necessary. All of her test are 50 questions consisting of multiple choice and matching. Most of her test questions come from the notes posted on the board; therefore, you don't need the book (so don't waste your money). Overall, the course is easy but you HAVE to go to class! TAKE HER!

She is an excellent teacher! All you do in her class is take notes, which a second grader could understand because she's that good at explaining them. You have 4 Tests which come from the notes and 4 online quizes which you can take as many times as you would like until you score the grade you're satisfied with! She's awesome! Take her!

She is a very intersting teacher and really seems to enjoy teaching the class. You do have to take a lot of notes and actually come to class to know what is going on, but her tests are straight multiple choice. If you don't come you will be lost, but it's a pretty easy class otherwise.

I had Dr. McDaniel for both lab and lecture. The class is pretty challenging, but you will know the information by the time you leave. Lecture is fairly easy if you just take the notes (she writes them on the board!). Lab was more difficult for me; there is a lot of information to memorize but she tells you everything you need to study. There are rumors of her dropping a test grade, but she told us she doesn't do that anymore.

I am glad that someone thought that she was easy, because that has not been my experience. She gives way too much information to be learned in short periods of time. She only gives four tests, including the final. Each test is fifty questions. There are usually around 25-30 pages, front and back of notes to be studied for these fifty questions. She also words her questions in a confusing manner. So far, this is the most difficult and demanding class that I have taken.

I loved Dr. McDaniels' teaching style. She made her teaching interesting and illustrated with stories and such. She didn't take attendance because the class was large, so I went most of the time but didn't stress out on those days I missed. If one studied for the exams, they were not difficult. I love this class, found it so interesting! I would recommend Dr. McDaniels to any of my friends.

Dr McDaniel is great! You dont need to buy the book which is a plus b/c her tests are straight from notes! Extra Credit is avaliable if you come to class everyday & try your best. I found this class to be extremely easy and Dr. McDaniels is an EXCELLENT professor. She makes everything really easy to understand and will explain things over and over. If you go to class, write down all the notes and go over them a bit, you are pretty much gaurenteed an A. You also don't have to purchase a text book, or even really go over the notes online. Seriously, pretty much the ONLY thing you have to do is go to class and take notes and you will do well. I also thought Dr. McDaniels was really sweet and an enjoyable teacher. I can't imagine that there's an easier or better prof to take for this class.

Ms. McDaniel was an excellent teacher but her course is difficult. All the information throughout the class is displayed on Blackboard. People in the class thought they didn't have to show up for class and just read off blackboard but they ended up failing. It's very beneficial for your grade if you show up and take notes. She is a great person and has a great personality. She is always there to answer questions to make sure you understand it. I highly recommend her.

Dr. McDaniel is a great teacher. She will answer any questions that you have. Her lecture isn't any harder than any other class I've had. On the other hand, lab is different. Be prepared to spend SEVERAL hours preparing for Lab tests. NURSING MAJORS: if you can't get an A or B in her class, you probably don't need to be a nurse!

This class is generally Honors or AP high school biology. Kerrie is a very good teacher who tends to over explain things. There are a TON of notes online, but they are only really good for taking the online quizes. She doesn't really test from this information. I'd say about 90% of her test material comes directly from what she WRITES on the board. If you go to class EVERY day you WILL make an A. (I'm not kiddnig.) If you only go occasionally or on the test days you will probably make a C. I recommend you go to class. An "A" looks much better than a "C".

Kerrie McDaniel was a great teacher. All you have to do is go to class, take the notes she gives you, and then study for them the night before the test. It was so easy. If you and a friend take the class you can both switch up days to go. She doesn't take attendance or anything. It was the easiest class I've ever taken.

Dr. McDaniel is a nice teacher and makes the class very easy. She actually goes over many things that I remember from high school biology. The amount of notes is not overly excessive and if you do not enjoy the classroom and can learn online you do not even have to come to the class except for the exams. She made the class really fun. She is very enjoyable to listen to, and does the best she can with such a large class. At times she explains things so basically I think I am in a kindergarten class. It isn't in a bad way, though. All of the info for the class is online, so you don't have to buy a book. I highly recommend her.

This was a hard class overall. Lecture is a piece of cake, just take notes and study them and you'll get an A in lecture. She will tell you to buy the book, but I never read the lecture book and sitll received an A. Lab on the other hand, will require the textbook as there is numerous figures to study. Be sure to allow PLENTY of time to study for lab, as the tests are very difficult. You will also get to drop one test grade in lecture, but not the final, and she will not tell this to you until the very last test. Lab is also rumored to have the same when dropping test, but she never came right out and said it.

I only had her for the lecture part of the course and I really liked her. She is very good at giving clear notes and making sure everyone understands what she is talking about. Her exams aren't hard if you go every day, or at least get the notes from someone if you miss. The exams are straight from her notes and I suggest not even buying the textbook. She drops one of your exam grades, but you have to keep the final. Overall, this class is based on note taking and exams.
