Additional Comments |
Mary Ellen Miller is pretty cool. Her and I conflicted some when it came to my writing style. It seemed like everything I turned in for the first 6 weeks she chewed up and spit back out in my lap, but ultimately she helped me become a better writer. You sit in class and talk every single day. You read things in class, you talk about them, you help other people with their pieces of work. It's very interactive and by the end of the semester we were all great friends. There are required "special events" that you have to go to. Mostly poetry readings on campus. The only problem is that when you have to work and can't go, you have to write a paper to get the credit. But overall I liked this class. It taught me that I don't want to be a writer, but I still learned alot.
