MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE TEACHER! Forreal, he is definitely the teacher to take for this class. I learned so much! Some of the work we had to do and turn in, I never completed it and I still got an A. If you just try you will do great! I decided I'm going to be a mentor for this class in the fall! LOVED HIM!! TAKE HIM!!

Fulkerson is fantastic. No complaints! The guy is nice and really tries to get to know his students on a personal level, and he'll listen to you if you need to come to him for advice. His class is easy, and the very little amount of homework he gives only takes about 10 minutes tops to do.

This class is super super easy, it was a bi-term class! We never had to actually read until the last 2-3 weeks of class, and the paper you have write is super easy. He gives you an example that is exactly what you need to do, all you do is fill in a few of your own characteristics. Also, talk to him after class, it doesn't take much just ask a simple dumb question and he will love you! TAKE THIS TEACHER!

If you want an easy professor that likes to cut up and have fun and no homework ever take Professor Fulkerson however if you want to be challenged and get something out of the course like myself take another teacher because if you want to learn something this guy isn't for you i would take Basham or Buzzard if you want to learn something if you don't take Professor Fulkerson i feel like everyday is a waste of time in his class

Mr. Fulkerson is a wonderful teacher. He was very helpful and he gets along great with the students. The class was very laid back. Attendence was not an issue. There are some activitives due outside of class, but they are really easy. Take him for an easy A.

I loved Mr. Fulkerson's class! He was an amazing teacher and a great advisor, even if you didn't have him as an advisor he totally helps you with your schedule. He's a great guy to talk to also when you just need someone to talk to. His class was really easy and really fun, if you went. His teaching kind of is scattered but the discussions are a blast. You'll love the class if you take his course.

He is so sweet and friendly. He truely cares about his students. You have to read the book and listen to his lectures in class to do good on the tests. His tests can be confusing sometimes, his multiple choice can have two answers that will be right but he will only except one. Hes a nice guy, and the class isn't very hard, but the tests are tricky.

Mr. Fulkerson had the whole class laughing everyday! He's very scatter-brained but a good teacher. You can tell he really cares about his students. He makes class fun....you will have to attend class....take some notes...the tests are pretty hard. Some days you'll just have a class discussion and talk the whole time. Besides some of the tests, the class is pretty easy. He's a awesome person and I would recommend taking him!!

Jim is the best teacher you can get when it comes to teaching personal health. He always comes in laughing and smiling and telling jokes. The class is easy overall but the test are hard and I do mean hard. You give two presentations during the semseter and you do two group projects(one being the final).
His only down fall is that sometimes he can be a bit unorganized but other than that I highly recommend Jim to anyone who likes to have a good time while learning.

Although this class was easy, it was a waste of time. The syllabus that he hands out is ridiculous because you don't do any of the projects or have any quizes. Our final was a 3 minute power-point presentation. If you want an easy A, then this is your class, but it's a wasted trip up to Cherry.

Mr. Fulkerson is nice but he is a little bit crazy. He likes to talk about time management--A LOT! Also, the class only had about 25 people in it and he could only remember maybe 5 names--I don't know if it is old age or what. Umm, within the semester, you do some group activities, a powerpoint about yourself, a 3 page research paper, and he makes you read a book (but he never discusses the book). Overall, the class is annoying because you're constantly wondering what your grade is since he won't tell you what you make on anything. In fact, he probably doesn't even grade the assignments because he always seems so busy. But, he is someone you could go to if you have a question about anything and he's constantly telling his students that they can come to his office any time.

With this class you have to come everyday. He talks about things and it is on your own note taking. You have to figure out what he wants you to take down. There was an activity were we did a skit for a health club. You also have to do reviews on 3 health articles that are on 4X6 note cards, you must do a report on a topic he chooses for you.

This class is alot of fun. You really do not use the book but you will need it when you have a take hom test. This class is all about class talk. You talk about all kinds of things and you just talk about them. You will have a debate in this class that you have to give at the end of the semester. you will have like 2 or 3 people in your group. It is not bad at all. Then you will have to get up in front of the class and talk about whatever he tells you to talk about. Um lets see what else. you have 4 test. Let me just say something about the test. The first on is crazy it is 105 questions and it is 14 pages long. You have to study or you will not do that well, he will also but things on there that you do not even talk about. the 2 test is a group test it is not that bad, then the 3 test is a take home test that is really easy if you do it. the last test is the final. It was not that bad just make sure you study for it. The test are mult choice, true and false, and essay. this class is not that bad. i would take it if was you.

This is an amazing class and Mr. Fulkerson does what he should with it. It's very easy. It's pretty much learning to get adjusted to life in college. He gives a lot of critical thinking exercises. He really cares about his students. He even remembers where they're from, their name, their major. He's a great professor. I would definitely recommend this class. Don't worry if he starts giving a lot of homework at first. It's just to break you in and there's not much after the third or fourth week.

YES! YES! YES! This is the best guy to take an University Experience class from. He cares about his students and knows this class should be a carefree one; and it is. You will have some homework, such as short readings in your text but they are stories meant to enlighten and teach you.
I HIGHLY recommend this course, it will be an easy A and you will hopefully make a few new friends in the mean time.

mr. fulkerson was a blast! his humor helps the class very interesting. there are a variety of tests. he has one fill in the blank and multiple choice test, then complete multiple choice, then true false and multiple choice. he also gives a take home test and a group test (where you and two or three other people get together and answer the questions to a test and share the grade--if you get a 90 on the test the whole group gets a 90). he also gives an essay test. he has class activities that are a blast and some of the lectures tend to lead the class into group discussions that can get pretty exciting. attendance is required. after three days of absence, your grade will be affected. jim likes to make the class fun so that the students can learn more while enjoying it at the same time. i definitely reccomend him as a teacher.

Jim is a great guy. He really makes an effort to know all his students, and on a deeper level than just a traditional student/teacher relationship. The course (at least in the second semester) is spent covering lesser know resources that the university offers. There are a lot of class discussions in which participation is key to getting a decent grade. There were maybe three or four quizzes that took minimal preparation, and did carry that much in our overall grade. When I say essay questions on the exam, he's only looking for one or two sentences at the most. Since Jim has really helped develop the course, since it's existence here at Western, he really knows what is key and comes with high recommendation. If your birthday falls on one of the class days then the entire class is treated to cupcakes; so if a college student is always following their stomach why else would you look at another instructor for this course. *I haven't passed the course yet, but there is about as much a chance of me failing it as there is that the moon would crash into the Earth.

It's an extreemly easy class, and all you have to do is show up and youll get an A. There's no final, but a few projects. Take this class if you want an easy A and need some electives! Jim is also a great rescource if you need anything! He's more than willing to help.

he assigned a lot of work at the beginning of the semester and really stressed me out, but it turns out that none of it is really due. He is very unorganized, and I spend a majority of the class being confused, then freaking out about assignments I think are due, then asking questions and not getting a straight answer. but the peer mentor helps to even out the senility. the class is a waste of time, esp if you don't buy into the whole "rely on yourself" mentality. I would suggest taking a different teacher that realizes this class is a joke.

This class is boring, but then again, I think all UC101 classes are boring. Professor Fulkerson is tolerable, but the class is broken into separate groups that meet once a week. This created tons of confusion which was really annoying. My mentor (group leader) was great though, and a real help. We got to do a interesting personality test and there is no final whatsoever, only a few quizzes and projects.

Mr. Fulckerson is a very lively teacher, although sometimes (actually most of the time) I don't think he or any of the other teachers know what is going on. You take notes from Power Point which isn't a big deal, but you have to do a bunch of really dumb stuff that takes a lot of your time that you need for like studying for other more important classes.

Jim is one of the greatest most understanding professors I've ever had. I would highly recommend him anyone, he will not only give you great advice for the class, being a student but also wonderful advice just about life. He loves his job, he loves his students and he is just high on life and has a great personality. Attendance is expected, even though you can get away with skipping a fair amount, but I never saw a reason to skip very much because the class is so enjoyable. Jim is a great counselor and after having and while having him he offers for anyone to come talk to him if they have any problems and not to worry, he would keep anything confidential if needed. Once again, I recommend Jim for anyone!!!!
