You learn everything yourself using the software you buy for this class. She tried to teach us but instead she gave up and I spent my time in class surfing the internet. She doesn't speak good english but it doesn't matter the material is easy and the class is an easy A.

This was a very easy class. But I have to say that you DO NOT need to buy the textbook. I didn't even crack the cover and tried to sell it back, but they said the class is using a new textbook for next semester. Big waste of money. The only thing that I used was the code for the IT website which is where all of the tests and study material are located.

This was a Web course and it was VERY easy.
I spent on average about 2 hours every 2 weeks doing assignments for this class. It's an easy A. You only meet the first day and after that you do the assignments on the web and take the tests in the testing center. The final is just the last test and you're allowed to take it on your own computer.

I learned a lot about programming in this course, and I knew nothing before taking it. The class is EXTREMELY easy. Ms. Yang makes all of her lectures available on Blackboard so you really don't need to take very many notes. She gives a lot of time in class to work on the programs. I actually found this class a little too easy. The students take advantage of her because she is a pushover and they make her change exam dates, program due dates, and people rarely come to class because she doesn't enforce attendance. Also, she lets people talk on their cell phones in the back of class, which is really irritating if you are actually going to college to learn something. If you want an easy A without doing a whole lot of work, this is the class/instructor to take, but if you actually want to hear anything she says, you better take someone else.

Ms. Yang is a very nice professor, and really is sweet at heart. She will teach you this course very well, and even give you a little extra something to do, if you find the class too easy. This class is great for anyone who has had no programming, or had some a long time ago and don't remember it, so don't fear it! This course has about five programming projects and lab projects, and about two exams. The exams are the hardest, since the programs can be done with help of others, so just ask somebody if you get stuck. Great prof, and great class, even though I knew everything before I took it, and really don't know why Dr. Emam didn't let me go ahead and take CS 240.

Dr. Yang will ask for feedback on the course, and how the class as a whole wants it structured. She has her points that will cover and some things will be done her way, but you want more lab time no problem. You think the class is moving too fast, slow her down. She is very receptive to her students and makes sure that she is available to help them at any point.

Ms.Yang is the nicest professor I've had at WKU. She is always willing to help, even when she's not in the classroom or in her office.

Who ever put the yellow and red faces is crazy. Dr. Yang was awesome. She is very sweet and her class is very easy. She always post the test early so you can practice them. So you see the test days before you take it. You would have to be a dummy or just plum lazy to fail this class. I highly recommend this class to take. It is a definite A if you are not to lazy to go study the test.

This is the easiet course I've had in my entire life! You don't have to show up everyday, you do extensive training on the computer, so less time listening to boring lessons, and the group project at the end of the semester is so easy.
I'd suggest taking the Tuesday/Thursday class if you can and show up everyday. She'll give you a lot of bonus points just for being there, and considering it's so easy, it's worth it. The task exams you take over various Microsoft programs are easy, and you have all semester to work on them. I suggest taking them til you get 100%, simply because they help your grade so much.
You have a midterm and final exam and that's it. Both are multiple choice, and though the final is comprehensive, if you just look over the material, you'll do fine.
This class'll give you an easy A, you'll actually learn some things you can apply later, and the fact that Mrs. Yang tries to be so nice to the class and to their grades, the only downside is that you have to walk up to the Thompson Complex.

It's an easy course, just a lot of busy work and do not take it at 8:00, it is almost impossible to show up on time, if at all. You can do most assignments at home and never attend class unless its test or project day!

If you know anything about computers (unlike me) then you should not have any trouble with this class. But if you don't know a lot, then you will have to study some. But even if you don't do well on the midterm or final, your labs will bring your grade up. She lets you take them as many times as you want to. The teacher is really nice, but sometimes it is hard to understand her because of her chinese accent. But if you come to class, then you should do fine, plus bonus points if you come everyday. But, the class is very boring and she doesn't like to let out early.

Professor Yang is a sweet teacher. The subject itself was so boring! We met in the class one day a week and in the lab the next. We only had two tests, the midterm and the final. There are a lot of evaluations in the lab. She gives you three chances of taking them to improve your grade. Overall: It's alright but don't take it at 8:00 am.

rong is a nice lady from china. she can be a little hard to understand some times but she is easier to understand than most cs teachers. she was a lot of fun. and from what i hear, she is the easiest of the cs230 professors. come to class and take a few notes and an "A" or a "B" will be in your future. oh, i didn't even open the text book once. that's always a plus if you don't want to buy a text book

Ms. Yang is very helpful, to the point of practically doing to assignment for you. When she assigns a program, she gives two weeks to write it, and it usuallly took me 20 minutes. She was kind of confusing sometimes because she would accidentally start teaching in C++ then have to go back and reteach in QBasic.

You can get the info for tests from the book, but you'll understand it better if you take notes in class. Tests are pretty easy as long as you pay attention. And you have plenty of time to do the labs assigned (which are also in my opinion, easy).

In this class, you have 6 quizzes and a final. The quizzes are once every 2 weeks and she does not review for them at all. Her English is hard to understand a lot of the time. In the lab when you work on assignments, she sits at the front of the room and doesn't actively help anyone. I would definitely recommend you to take someone else for the class.
