Additional Comments |
This class was difficult for me, but I stayed in it because Jens Harlander is sooooo funny!! You have to listen to him because he will crack you up. He draws magicians, crocodiles, and bicycles on the board all the time when he's doing story problems. He will tell you all about "snow soup" and forget what he's doing occasionally. He has a German accent which somehow make his quotes even funnier. Here are a few examples: "I would be the Dr. Phil of Calculus. There would be 3 rules: 1. Do problems each day. 2. Pay attention in class. and 3. Well, I forget, but it was a good one."; " Now, here's a good one....."; "I told you this stuff is magic!"; "Coincidence or deep mathematical truth? Hmmm."; and "All of Calculus can be explained by the bicycle." Basically, he's funny. If you need this class, take Jens Harlander.
