Additional Comments |
Dr. Grubbs is extremely knowledgeable about biology and phylogenics. He tends to talk over your head quite a bit and almost expects you to have a vocabulary as extensive as his. His powerpoints are lengthy and in depth. I took this over winter term and it just about killed me. I made an A but I studied my butt off for it. He promised study guides that never came and the tests covered ALOT of material. The lab was more lecture than anything but the labs we did counted as the cumulative participation grade. Again, the tests were in depth and extensive. All the lecture tests were tough multiple choice and the lab tests were mostly fill n the blank and essay. At the end of the term he was bumping up points every which way I guess because a lot of people had trouble passing.
