Mark Berry was a great teacher I would recommend him to any one. He's test are just like the notes, go over your notes and you'll do fine in the class.

For this to be an online class it was very difficult! I had a c the whole semester and I made a b or bett on every daily assignment. I liked that I didn't have to go to class, but this was way rediculous to be an online class...I'd take it in the classroom or not this class for online.

Mark Berry does not deserve the respect that should come with a high degree such as the one he has. To be considered a teacher you shououyld actually care about your students and come to class! You walk up the hill in the pooring rain just to have class canceled not once, not twice, but 8 times in a row! He doesn't even bother to send out an e-mail to let you know his sorry ass wont be there. If you want a teacher who will be in class and actually care if you learn, then don't take him!!!

He moves really slow through the material, so its easy to catch on. You will watch a lot of videos, which is boring but easy. You will have to attend 3 WKU concerts and critique them.

All i have to say is F*ck Mark S. Berry! I dont know how but by the GRACE OF GOD, i got a B in this class. I took it with 4 other friends and they all got C's and D's. He would make you walk all the way up the hill just to cancel class. SENT OUT A MOTHA F*CKIN email MarkSBERRY!! He was an ass and made us watch stupid movies that no one understood. His test are really hard and i studied for every single one of them and got BAD grades on them! Try to take someone easier.

First of all, I don't know what the hell the people were thinking when they gave this dude a bad evaluation. This class was rediculously easy. It is true that he cancelled class alot without telling us but since when was cancelling class a bad thing? He claimed that he had an attendance policy but I missed that class more than I attended and yet I still pulled a "B" out of the class. I would suggest to anyone to take this class, just don't take it in the morning unless you have another class that you have to go to----you won't go, because I never did.

Lets just say that I wasn't very pleased with Berry's class. He cancels class 30% of the time, so be expected to have some free time with this course. You take notes that are pretty much directly from the book. You watch an opera and do a worksheet along with it. You do, on occasion, worksheets that are supposedly to help prepare you for exams before they are administered. In the beginning, he graded our exams quickly and returned them to us. In the end, he was very slow about telling the class our grades. The last day of class, we had still not been given our grades on our last exam. Don't worry about the 3 critiques that you have to do, b/c he said that as long as it is more than a paragraph long he checks it off. There are questions on the exams that are difficult, and the listening questions are the most difficult out of all of them. My advice to you is to look over each musical piece that he tells you before the exam in detail. It is a moderate course but you can make an A in there is you try hard enough. I don't recommend Berry as a teacher. I liked the idea of class being canceled, but the class exams really set the course off. Good luck!!

Ok first of all this teacher is a MESS!!! He is not a good teacher at all!!! He doesn't even want to teach!!!! He will miss call A BUNCH and not tell you that he is not going to be there. So you will show up to class and just sit there wondering if he is going to come or not. His TEST are HARD as hell!!!! He has no personality. He switches from white and black everyday. He test over 4 chapters at a time and gives SHITTY notes. I HATE him as a teacher!!! I WILL NEVER TAKE HIM AS A TEACHER AGAIN!!!!! HE is HORRIBLE!!!! he is the type of teacher you want to STAY AWAY FROM!!!! I know theres a lot of shitty music professors at this school but he is by far the WORST!!!! so if you decide to take his class BEWARE because it's impossible to get an "A" in there!!!

This class isn't horrible as far as gen-ed humanities classes go. Professor Berry is nice, although he tends to be preoccupied with his band stuff and really doesn't devote the right amount of time into teaching this class. The tests aren't too bad, its just the music reviews that suck.

This class was just sort of "blah." It sucked because he made attendance mandatory and worth 15% of your grade...the exams are not easy but it doesn't take much to get a B. Compared to the other music appr. professors though, I'd say he's the easiest.

Oh my nasty! I did absolutely nothing in this class and passed it with little to no effort. Certainly this is not the mark of a passionate professor, but heck, I'm not majoring in his department. I got my grade and I'm pleased to say that this was a breeze.

Mr. Berry's class is not difficult. Ever test and quiz is multiple choice or true and false done on scantrons. He teaches from the book, so it is easy to follow along. Attendance is mandatory, which really sucks. The hardest part is that you must attend a couple of school sponsored musical events and write a review. I recommend taking this class, if you must, b/c the tests are not hard if you read the text.

This was an easy class becuase you did not really have to go often. If you do go alot however, you will learn alot about music. Your grades are based on 3 papers and a final.

Mr. Berry is a very different man. He always wears black and white, alternating them of course. He is a very easy teacher, you have three papers to write and a final exam. You dont have to come to class because you dont really do anything but listen to him rant about nothing relavant. I would suggest to take him b.c its sooooooooo i stress this sooooo easy!
