I came into college with a 4.1 GPA from high school. I have taken AP English, AP Biology, and AP Chemistry with getting a 95 or above in each class. With that being said, I came into Pesterfield's class thinking it would be challenging, but very helpful. I was wrong. The course provided material I had already learned from previous years. The downfall of the course is Pesterfield's tests. Not only are they outrageous, they are one of the few grades your receive. I received a 60 on the first test, while the class average was a 62. For the tests later on in the course, the average test scores stayed around the 60's. If you plan on going Pre-anything, I would advise taking someone else, or be ready to study atleast 10 hours a week(not counting class). If you are just taking Chem 120 and not going further in Chem, you can pass with a C, as long as you have good studying habits. I would advise everyone to take a different professor if possible, unless you like learning basic material, and getting blown away by material on tests that you don't recognize.
