Additional Comments |
Professor McMichael is a good professor if you like to have unorthodox teaching. His methods of having his students learn is quite different than the usual college professor. Be prepared to play computer games (usually cost around $35.00 each) like Civilization III and Patrician II for papers you'll have to write(a 3-5 page and a 7-9 page); I stress, DON'T slack off in those just because they're games. Note taking in his class is overkill, but it really helps you on the exams, which are essay and identification. There are roughly 15 quizzes you'll have to take over the semester once a week, consisting of maps and multiple choice. Be sure to study for those; they may only be worth 10 points a piece, but they'll come back and bite you in the butt later. He's a fair grader, but getting papers back takes a long time: he likes to go over them thoroughly. Be sure to buy the text book, it's crucial to have. If you like a challenge, take McMichael.
