He is the best history professor you will ever have. He does have a lot of notes, but that is because the textbook is not required. He wants to make sure you understand everythig he is talking about. He explains everything and the best part is "He gives you the essay questions before the test" that way you know what to study. STRONGLY RECOMENDED
