Additional Comments |
Serafini's teaching methods are some of the best for history, in my opinion. He teaches history like it's a story. The majority of the class he used powerpoints with note outlines, but the most info. comes from what he lectures along with the powerpoints. We had 10 quizzes, one being showing up the last day of class. We had 3 tests, plus the final which is not cumulative. Before each test, we had a study session which lasted usually 2 hours, going over about everything on the test. Test consisted of 6 ID's, 1 Short Answer, and 1 essay, no multiple-choice. We also had to do a book review on a non-fiction book about Western Civilization until 1648. This is not a fly-by-night course. You have to stay on top of things, at least reading the assigned pages in the book and taking notes. I've worked to hopefully make a B.
