I'm sure Bill Lynch is really great at what he actually does for a living, as a member of the Department of Fish and Wildlife. He is just not good at teaching. He is scatter-brained when it comes to what is due, which is made even more confusing by the terrible online lab system.
Basically you will be sent a link to an "online syllabus" which will show you what links to follow each week. Sounds simple, right? Nope. The online documents are unclear about what exactly to do, and sometimes have links embedded in them which you have to follow and do some other vague task. You then cannot submit them online, but must print out several unspecified pages and bring them all to class. I don't know if I've ever once had everything I needed at class, because I never know. Mr. Lynch is not helpful when it comes to sorting out this mess, and often only obscures things even more.
Besides the online lab, you will also have to take a quiz every time you meet over whatever boring and vague lecture he gave the previous week. You will then conduct the lamest "experiments" you could possibly imagine in a Biology lab. You receive credit just for showing up to the lab, and you won't even turn your work in.
Like I said, Mr. Lynch is a nice guy, but not qualified to teach. And granted, the online lab is not his doing, but he does not help with it either. I honestly dread having to subject myself to this 2 hour drudgery every week.

He is just awesome. If you do good in the quizzes and tests you don't even have to take the finals.

I would recommend any class Lynch teaches. He is knowledgable on the subject and is straight forward about what will be on the tests.

This class was fabulous. The class was easy, Lynch is a great teacher, and you knew what was expected and due before even walking into class. There is a lab, quiz, and hw due every class but they were easy. Attending class will pretty much guarentee an A in this class.

Bill Lynch is actually a really nice guy. He even let class out about 30 minutes. Everyday you have a quiz over the previous weeks notes. The nagging part of the class was the online lab. Before you came to class, you had to do an online lab. My computer often had trouble loading his syllabus (i have a mac). These became very annoying. The quizzes are moderately tough. Every class you do a "wet" lab. Some dumb experiment he has planned that goes along with the "dry" online lab. You get full credit for for the class lab as long as you go. I got mono halfway through the semester and fell behind and dropped the class. I had around a C in the class. This class would be hard to fail i just dreaded it every day. I guess take it if your looking for an easy A or B for bio lab, BUT BE PREPARED FOR HIS "WET LABS", BORING LECTURES, AND LAME EXPERIMENTS.

Dr. Lynch can kind of come off as a smart aleck sometimes, so if you have a snappy personality, don't take him because it will take all of your willpower to not argue with him when he calls you out on something. He doesn't hardly ever answer questions without adding a little smart remark, but if you just ignore him, he eventually becomes an ok teacher. The labs are easy. Half is online and half is in class. You can do the online one once, get all the answers and then redo it. If you show up for class, you get the full points. He gives you pretty much every answer to the quizzes in the few notes you take. This class should be an easy A if you do the work.

Dr. Lynch was an ok guy, I guess. I just had him for five hours straight in lab and lecture and I just got tired of sitting in class. His tests are really easy and he gives you a review the meeting before the test. Each test we took probably averaged like 13 extra credit points, so getting an A was easy. Other than the three or four tests, he asks you to go to a seminar and write a paragraph summary. Turn it in, you get the points. Super easy. I convinced him to allow the students with an A to not take the final. I don't know if he'll do this for every class, but it's worth a shot because getting an A is easy. I ended the class with 126%.... seriously. And I didn't even do the final twenty point assignment (half-page summary of an article on any living creature). His class is THAT easy.

The lab manual is online, so there is no textbook for this course. Overall I think all 114 labs are the same, but from what I've heard Mr. Lynch is okay. At times I didn't care for him because he can be very sarcastic, but overall he's an okay guy. He will help you out, just makes you kind of feel dumb for asking. He's an okay professor. If you have to take him it's nothing to worry about. You can do it.

Lynch offers an easy class. He isn't very good at keeping up with what is due. He is a little scatter brained, but it's not that bad. You have a lab quiz every week, but it is easy and nothing to worry about. If you ever need to miss a class, let him know before hand and he will work everything out for you.

Dr. Lynch mostly lectures everyday while you take notes. He gives a quiz for every chapter and then one big midterm and one big final. If you find the human body interesting then you will be okay in this class. He likes feedback and places his students in small groups that they will be in the entire semester.

Mr. Lynch is a really nice guy. He was always willing to answer any questions about the material. This lab should be pretty easy if you ATTEND CLASS, read the manual, and pay attention. There were two exams: a midterm and a NON-comprehensive final. Also, there were a few quizes, but he always tells you when they'll be and what will be on them. And make sure you're never late to an exam.
