I'm sure Bill Lynch is really great at what he actually does for a living, as a member of the Department of Fish and Wildlife. He is just not good at teaching. He is scatter-brained when it comes to what is due, which is made even more confusing by the terrible online lab system. Basically you will be sent a link to an "online syllabus" which will show you what links to follow each week. Sounds simple, right? Nope. The online documents are unclear about what exactly to do, and sometimes have links embedded in them which you have to follow and do some other vague task. You then cannot submit them online, but must print out several unspecified pages and bring them all to class. I don't know if I've ever once had everything I needed at class, because I never know. Mr. Lynch is not helpful when it comes to sorting out this mess, and often only obscures things even more. Besides the online lab, you will also have to take a quiz every time you meet over whatever boring and vague lecture he gave the previous week. You will then conduct the lamest "experiments" you could possibly imagine in a Biology lab. You receive credit just for showing up to the lab, and you won't even turn your work in. Like I said, Mr. Lynch is a nice guy, but not qualified to teach. And granted, the online lab is not his doing, but he does not help with it either. I honestly dread having to subject myself to this 2 hour drudgery every week.
