This class was not easy but if you study for the exams you will be fine. Almost all of my grade came from the exams, so make sure you put some time and effort into the notes you have taken. If you do not take any, or do not show up at all, you will have difficulty with this class. As for Dr. Wulff...you need to meet this person and take one of his classes to understand what a professor is supposed to be. He is the most approachable professor I have ever had. If you have a question...it gets answered. If you send an email...it gets responded to. If you want a light-hearted, fun, and stress free lecture...you got it. If geology is your major than you are lucky cause you will have him again. If geology is NOT your major you should make this class an elective!

Dr. Wulff is an amazing teacher. He is always willing to help during non class hours as well. He isn't the kind of lab teacher that makes his TA's teach the whole entire class. He teaches most of it. I actually considered being a Geology minor because of him. I would definitely take Dr. Wulff for any Geology class you may have to take!

Dr. Wulff is amazing. He is one of the most fun professors I have had since being at Western. Take this class, the lecture can be boring sometimes, but Wulff is always finding a way to make everyone laugh. Good class. Study notes for the test.

This class is what made me decide to become a geology major. Dr. Wulff is an amazing professor. He is always willing to help when ever you need it! His exams are very straight forward. Lots of drawings on his exams. Textbook is a requirement if you want to do well. This class isn't a difficult, it covers alot so some chapters can be overwhelming. Dr. Wulff has fun with the material and keeps you interested! This was a great class!

Dr. Wulff is the best professor I have had at Western. He makes the class very interesting. I actually looked foward to going to his class. There is a lot of material in the course so you have to put a lot of effort in, but it is worth it. Make sure you take Dr. Wulff.

I LOVE this man!! He is so well-rounded and can relate the topics to whatever field your in. He's the reason I became a geology major (and I had no interest in it at first) just because he gets you so into it. He's a great professor and a wonderful person. His tests require drawing- study for the drawings!! It was a lot of fun.

Dr. Wulff could be the best professor in the Geology department. He goes to great pains to make the class interesting and usually does. His tangent days are also a nice break from the curriculum. He tries to infuse the topics he teaches into everyday life and really makes Geology understandable. Take Dr. Wulff if you get the chance.

This class was pretty difficult, but worth the effort. Dr. Wulff definitely knows his stuff. We took a bunch of notes, but they were all necassary. We also had to draw some things on the tests. This was the easiest part. The lab was extremely hard if you put little effort in. I learned more in this class than any other I have had in college!

Dr. Wulff is definitely the most interesting and eclectic professor I've had at Western so far. He's absolutely a blast in class and is always willing to go out of his way to help you. His class can be somewhat difficult, and the required lab is tough; but i have to say it was the best class i had the whole semester. You'll learn more than you ever wanted to know, just show up with open ears and mind!

there are two parts to his test. drawing different geological surfaces and multiple choice. the drawing is easy but the multiple choice are pretty hard. the notes he gives you in class are just for the drawings. you have to read the chapter to do well on the multiple choice.

I hate geology, but Dr. Wulff is an interesting professor, so the class isn't that bad. I could stand for his lecture to be a little more structured and laid out more logically, but it isn't the worst class in the world. If you have to take this stupid class, I would take it with Dr. Wulff

A pretty good class to pick up your gen ed requirement in esp. if you don't need bio or chem. Dr Wulf is very friendly and does an excellent job at teaching complex geologic processes in a way that any non science major should be able to comprehend. He's not easy on you if you shrug off the class, however. A few of out of class assignments associated with this class and it's lab requirement, but not terrible. Having learned all you need to know in class to complete the assignment makes it pretty easy.
