Professor Carey can be kind of boring, but he teaches well and his tests come right off the notes. There is a pretty good amount of note taking, and though you don't have to read the book, it helps. He sometimes pulls one or two questions from tests from the book. There was one paper you have to write at the end, but it's just 3 pages or so and it easy. I definetly recommend him
