Ok, so im gonna give you a run down of this "so called" 100 level class.
I needed to take this class as a fulfillment to my major. Knowing that it was a 100 level class didnt really scare me, especially since it was geography, however I was wrong. Dr. G as she likes to be called is a very ethustiastic teacher, she knows her stuff. but this is a bad thing at times. she writes keywords on the board every class of what she will go over in class that day. This is good however she always seems to leave some stuff out, which is frustrating. also the first test is absolutly ridiculus. a study guide is given but you need to memorize over 500 place locations and only 30 are on the test(tip:focus on africa more then anything) I spent alot of time studying for not even half were on the test. the final is not cumalitive and is only over the last chapters. her teaching style is good however to take what shes saying down on paper is a little hard. i could go a whole class period without writing anything just cause of the way she teaches (she tells alot of storys). Overall its a farily easy class, however for a 100 level class its to much. she is always rushing at the end of class cause she crames so much info into one lecture. and some of the things she takes off points for is crazy. you will have to do 3 assignments, fairly easy that are worth 30 points, but she counts off 5 points if you dont staple them together or crazy things like that. she is a funny professor though and tells some crazy and intersting stories about her life. but i felt like i was in a 200 level or 300 level class cause of all the lecture material.

one of my favorite professors at wku. she is interesting and entertaining. very funny lady. you have 3 assignments (cake) and 3 tests, maybe 4? the tests are 70 multiple choice and 30 map locations. i recommend her just because i took so much away from the course. and bc time flies in the class bc shes a great teacher and knows so much!!! she's always having fun and joking. it was the hardest 100 level class i ever took, but it's not bad. test questions always have like 5 to 7 bonus questions too!!

She tries to cram so much information in one test that she cannot do it efficiently. She held us over at least five minutes every class to try to cover all the material, and sometimes she didn't. She thinks that if she mentions a word once then its covered, so if you didn't catch it, then its your fault. Most of the study guide isn't covered or in the book, and you're not allowed to email her with questions, so most of the time you have to Google the information. You won't lose points for not coming to class except you probably/definitely won't do well on the test because the test is basically a detailed summary of what she talks about in class. The one good thing I have to say is she is very knowledgeable the class and the information is interesting because she makes it interesting, but she expects you to know it too thoroughly for the test.

Take Dr. G!!!! I loved her! She is probably one of my favorite professors at wku. She's funny and entertaining. She makes class very fun to be in. If ur a student that skips class a lot, don't take her because she doesn't post notes on bb. Her exams are mostly multiple choice but with some place location questions that are fill in the blank. She always has bonuses on the exams too. Take her! You will walk away learnin more than u will in most of ur classes without having to overload yourself. She's awesome, loved her!! I would major in geography if she teachin all the classes

Dr. G is a great teacher. At the beginning of the semester she acts like the class is going to be ridiculously hard, but it wasnt. As long as you attend class and take notes you will be fine. She gives you a study guide for all the tests that cover most of what will be on the test. Her final is not comprehensive. If you get the chance I would take Dr. G

Dr. G was a great teacher! I loved her class! As long as you come to class and listen to her lectures, you'll be in good shape. She posts grades in a timely manner and her tests are all the same format. There are 70 multiple choice questions and 30 place locations that you identify on a map. There are only 3 tests, one being the final test. There are 3 assignments that are graded easily. This is a great class to take! There are bonus questions offered on the test that if you were in class, and listen to her random funny stories, you'll get. Take her class!
