I did not pay $750 to take this class with Egan to feel stupid or to hear sarcastic remarks on a weekly basis, but that is exactly the type of person he is! Egan shows no enthusiasm while teaching this class. He is a very narrow-minded person who gets angry when students ask for assistance. He makes everyone feel stupid and often makes very crude comments to the class if we have questions. I'm sure he is a very intelligent man, but nobody would ever get that impression because he is by far the most hateful person I have ever met in my life. He is not a teacher, so if you decide to take this class, good luck! You will be teaching yourself how to do statistics. The final is a cumulative and worth 200 points. Egan makes stats more difficult because he refuses to answer e-mails, questions, or give us correct answers to questions. And might I add that we waited three, YES THREE WEEKS to get our test grades back! Egan is by far the WORST teacher on the face of the planet!! DON"T TAKE HIM!!!

DO NOT...I repeat...DO NOT...under any circumstances...take this man's class. He is very hateful, does not help you when you have questions and his examples are usually wrong and then the whole problem from that point on is wrong.

If you enjoy being treated as if you are stupid (which apparently you aren't since you are in college)....then take Egan. Personally....the day I burn the book for his class will be the best day of my life.

By FARRRRRRR the worst class I have ever been in. If you want to do good on the final, read Lame Deer NOW - Showing up to class does little good, reading the book does little good. You need to change your way of thinking to a conspiracy theorist, racist, femanist.....then you MIGHT possibily be successful in his class.!

This man is by far the WORST teacher I have ever had in my entire life. He is extremely boring, and his class is pointless. This class is supposed to be about Sociology, however; he finds a way ....in every class....to discuss indians. You have to read a book about Indians, and the final is over the book! At the end of the term, he will make you watch an hour long video.....with absolutely no dialogue or people. Stay away from this man if at all possible!!!!

This professor goes straight from the book. I attended class but all he did was go from page to page. If you read the material and have a good memory of what you have read you will do good on the test. The test are straight from the book almost word from word. He stated that some came from lecture but not many questions actually did. This was a tv course at Fort Knox and was very boring watching him turn page to page for over an hour. Some people used the time to actually read the chapter.
