Simply put, she is awful. I'm not very good at math so her class was difficult for me. Don't try asking her questions because she makes you feel like an idiot. And if you are failing but going to tutoring and still not understanding and request an audit she won't sign your paper because she feels that you "aren't taking responsibility for your education.'' DO NOT TAKE HER.

Ms. Pulsinelli is a nice teacher that enjoys what she does. She has a lot of notes, they aren't required. Her tests are moderately hard. She writes cursive on all her assignments and tests. I sometimes had trouble reading it. If you attend every day you get small amount of extra credit. I am well off in algebra. I personally took no notes, attended no test reviews (she holds them at night before the test), and never met with her in the math lab. She offers help al lot and gives test reviews. Homework isn't required except every once in a while she assigns a hand-in. About 5 problems taken for a grade. About 1/4 of the quizzes were take home. The textbook isn't actually required. She assigns practice problems everyday that many students did. I chose not too and never actually even opened my book all semester. This is a class you can't really miss. She's a wonderful teacher that teaches slow and likes class participation. You can tell she's been teaching here awhile. She doesn't use blackboard, so you never know your grade. She uses improper grammar a lot too, but i think it's just a southern thing. Recommended. Homework not required and she provides numerous amount of out of class help if needed.

Ms. Pulsinelli is great! She teaches trig in a way that's very straightforward, and she spends a lot of time making sure you understand what's going on. She always tells exactly what's going to be on the test, and sometimes there are bonus points. Also, at the end of the semester she gave us bonus points based on attendance, so make sure you go to class! The final was cumulative, but she went over exactly what would be on it and which previous test problems to look over. I highly recommend Ms. Pulsinell!

Mrs. Pulsinelli's class was good because she gave you every oppurtunity to make a better grade. For instance, she gave you 12 extra credit points at the end of the semester if you had not missed a class period and she offered extra credit on every quiz she gave you. We had four tests, many quizzes, and math hw (the only hw you had to turn in were called Hand-Ins; we had one about once a week). She also had at least two help sessions she would teach throughout the week that was really helpful especially right before a test. YOU DO actually have to do work in this class though because it is math, but it never takes too long. Mrs. Pulsinelli could be bipolar sometimes but it was amusing more than anything, so I would recommend taking her for Math 109.

Mrs. Pulsinelli was a wonderful math teacher. I am very confused when it comes to math, but she made this class easy to follow. She had a help session for those who did not get a certain ACT score but anyone could attend. Attendence is mandatory in her class. Therefore the only way you can do bad is if you do not come to class and take notes. She has a quirky personality but overall I definately recommend Pulsinelli!

This teacher is awful. The first time I met her was as a substitute in another math class. She taught our class 3 times and she pissed half the class off and the other half were afraid of her. She is so mean. She teaches good, but too good. She assumes that you should have NO QUESTIONS because shes already covered everything. If you do ask a question, she will embarrass you in front of everyone no matter how important it is. She's absolutely mental. Not to mention she constantly makes these wierd noises all the time for no reason. It will be completely quiet in the room and she make this noise, then you have to try not to laugh or she'll get mad at that too. She may have Tourrets. If you want to be miserable for a semester, then by all means take Ms. Pulsinelli.

I took this class a year ago with another professor and had to audit it, then this past semester I took it with Mrs. Pulsinelli. She explains exerything very clearly. The best thing about the class is that she gives you a review for all of the tests about a week before the actual test. Also, she gives a review for every quiz the day before the quiz will be given. There are few hand in assignments, but if you need any help she is willing to help you if you just ask her.

I am not a math person, period. That's why I had to take this course but at least I had Linda Pulsinelli as a professor. She knows math more than any of the math teachers I had in high school to be honest, and I really liked her as a math instructor. She provides some help at the end of class on certain days and doesnt make you feel like a fool if you screw up on a problem or the like. I would say one negative thing about her is that she can be scatterbrained, and will flow from one thing to another when it comes to note taking. She will start writing something on the board, then go "Oh, wait a second!" and start something else entirely. It also sucks on quiz day or test day, when you've spent all the night before and right up til class begins studying all the material you've gone overw and then she begins teaching a new subject, then hands out the tests/quizzes to take afterwards. It can be confusing. However, if you dont know math like me and need to take a math class as general ed, I suggest Pulsinelli, because without her I dont think I could have made a B in that class.

I really enjoyed Ms. Pulsinelli's class. The class met 5 days a week, which was a good choice for me because the material came in smaller increments. Ms. Pulsinelli really is a great math teacher. She assigned homework every day, but didn't collect it until the day of the test. If you take her class, do yourself a favor and do your homework, then ASK QUESTIONS the next day if you have them! She likes for homework questions to be put on the board every morning so she can deal with any questions before going on to new material. She also makes herself available for questions before and after class. There were 4 tests during the semester plus a cumulative final. She always gave a review sheet to work on one week before each test. There was usually a quiz about once a week. There were occasional opportunities for extra credit. I highly recommend Ms. Pulsinelli for College Algebra.

Ms. Pulsinelli can be intimidating at first, but you just have to get over that. She is an excellent math teacher and truly wants her students to succeed. The key to getting along with her is to interact with her during class, i.e., if she asks the class a question, pop that answer out right away. Do not just sit there in silence. Her common cry is, "Don't sit there and look at me as if this is the first time you've heard this." The more vocal you are, the better she likes it. She can be a little on the theatrical side, which is more easily appreciated toward the end of the semester than it is while you're in the middle of it.
Do your homework every day. Do not get behind. You will need two notebooks: one for notes and one for homework. You will turn the homework notebook in on the day of the exam. If you've done your homework, you get credit for it. You don't want to find yourself trying to catch up on all your homework the night before the exam.
She also gives points for attendance and will occasionally give opportunities for extra credit. She expects to see you put effort into the class. I cannot emphasize enough... If you're not getting the material, jump on it IMMEDIATELY. Ask her for help. She is great about helping students outside of class.
The first month or so is just reviewing what you've already learned in Math 100 (if you had to take it), so use that time to get a good foundation under you before you launch into the more complicated stuff.

Mrs. Pulsinelli is the best math teacher I have ever had. She makes learning math fun and interesting. She gives good examples that make your homeowrk easy. You have at least one quiz a week and 4 tests. You also have a mandatory comprehensive final. Don't worry you have pleanty of bonus ponit oppertunites on quizes and tests. You also get points when she collects your homework folder before a test. If you go to class, do the work, take the quizes, and study for the test you should pass this class with flying colors.

Mrs. Pulsinelli is one of the greatest professors I've ever had. I have read all the other evals about her and some people feel like she makes you look dumb in front of the class. She really doesn't---most of the time the comments she makes are not arrogant if you really stop and think about them. She is just trying to get your attention because more than you know students tend to drift off and start thinking about other things while in any Math class. I believe that you will be cutting yourself short if you do not take her for 116 or any Math class for that matter. She can explain things in a way no other teacher can. TAKE PULSINELLI !!!!

If you're bad at math, I highly recommend taking Professor Pulsinelli. She teaches math in concrete ways that always work, not fancy shortcuts that don't always work that alot of high school teachers teach. She is very willing to help if you have a problem and class is a laid back atmosphere. You do need to attend this class, you will fall behind quickly if you don't (more than 5 absences you automatically fail.) Great professor!

I absolutely hated this teacher. It was bad enough that I had to take algebra everyday, but she made me feel stupid every day. Maybe it's because I stink at math but it seemed like she was going way too fast. It was a math 116E class which meant it should have been going a little slower than regular math 116, but I think it went faster. Not to mention that she is weird. She'll be teaching and then make weird loud sounds out of nowhere. And forget about asking her a questioin out loud, unless you want to look like an idiot, because she'll make you feel like you have the intelligence of a monkey. I would recommend finding a teacher that will encourage you to like algebra instead of discouraging you.

Mrs. Pulsinelli is an amazing teacher! She could teach math to a paper bag! She is just that good! The attendance policy for her is if you miss more than 5 classes then you are kicked out of the class and receive a F for the final grade. She gives homework every night but it is not due until the day of the test. She also gives a lot of quizes. These are a good way to keep your grade up! Overall, she is wonderful. My advice is to take her!

Mrs. Pulsinelli is a wonderful teacher. Although Math 100 is more of a review of what you already learned in high school, she taught me a lot more than any of my high school teachers could. She may seem crazy at times when she says weird things or gets upset, but she has a reason to be that way, a lot of students don't give her the respect she deserves. She works very hard and is always eager to help. She teaches you lots of tips and tricks to help you understand math and do good. I have always hated math, but now I have more of a grasp on things, thanks to mrs. Pulsinelli's skills. Take her if you can, you won't regret it!!

Her math classes are the only ones I've ever done well in. She's tough, expects a lot out of her students, and doesn't hesitate to show her dissapointment if they don't do well. However, she is also more than fair, takes her time explaining things, and gives you ample opportunites to come to her and seek help. If you want to slack off and not pay attention in class, don't take Pulsinelli, but if you have a hard time in math and need someone who will take a real interest in your progress, she's the person you want. She is a good teacher. She really cares about each student and likes to help in any way possible. Her attendence policy is set in stone. You can miss 5 times, then you are out. She gives almost an overkill of quizzes (like 270 points worth), but she doesn't count all of them in the end. They can actually help you a lot if you do well on them. She explains everything in great detail, and this is very helpful. She also gives reviews for test with all of the problems worked out for you! This is great!
