This is a Web-Based Course and a 100 level course, but don't let either of those fool you. This is not an EASY A!!! You have lots to read and you must be very familar with the material because you don't have time to go back and look them up. Tests are all TIMED and for every minute over one grade level off. If you have more than 5 Quizes he drops the lowest grade. He does offer extra credit, but it is very limited and once again you better know your material. Each exam is over 3 chapters of information. Chapters are not really long but if you don't take good notes and remember the Examples of the stories they give along with Names of the Psychologists who is responsible for "X" information. You will not do very well on his exams. You really have to study and keep up with all your reading or you will not do well. Its only a 100 level course but is feels more like a 300 level. READ, STUDY and STUDY more!! I just finished my Final and got an A in the class but this was no means an EASY COURSE. SO BEWARE, just because it's a Web Course doesn't make it easy!!

I took this course on the WEB. Tons of reading, not a problem, but don't contact the professor as he states that all the data is available in the book and his PowerPoints are USELESS. The exams are extremely hard and you better know the information throughly. Tests are timed and 1 grade letter deducted for every minute past the time given. 1 Extra credit Survey online for 10 extra points. The course is a 100 level and should be tested as such. Really did not like his tone or attitude when students emailed him questions. His responses were pretty much read the stuff I gave you and don't contact me!! But over all I guess its a web course, you just better study and be prepared to know EVERYTHING off the top of your head.

If you are looking for an easy online class, this is the one. There were 4 test and 5 quizes. He provides notes but do not even bother to open them up. Before each test or quiz, I read the textbook. Then I sat down with the book in front of me and took the test. If you have some idea of where the information is, you have enough time to look up every question in the book.
He does offer extra credit on each test and quiz. Test were usually 110 points and quizes were 11, the extra points being the extra credit.
There are no other obligations for the class. All test and quize are avaliable monday-saturday.
Great easy gen ed class!

Painter is not even in the same state. Works in a hospital in Tennessee. Does not want to be emailed as he states everything you need to know is either in the book or on his PowerPoint Sheets (which are completely useless!!) 3 to 4 chapters per exam and they are timed. Extremely hard no vocab you just really need to memorize EVERYTHING. Timed test and for every minute over the limit = 1 grade deducted!! He has no business teaching if he is not willing to interact with the students. He just wants the money!! I wish I found this website before I signed up for his course.
DO NOT TAKE unless you already know a lot about Psychology.

mr painter is a horrible teacher! I had him for an online class, and he is the most difficult teacher to get in touch with. He doesnt write back to any emails, and will not help you with any problems you are having in the class. He basically just tells you to read the book and you never know when you are going to have a quiz or a test, or what chapters it is over until the test is posted on topnet. i definitly do not recommend him at all!

I took this as an online class because I thought It would be more convienient for my schedule. It is an okay class, but if you dont like reading the text book and you like to communicate with your teacher, dont take it. He does not give any homework, and his tests are worded wayy different than the book is .

I took this as an online course and HATED IT! Painter never responds to e-mails and you will never know what to read until the tests/quizzes are posted. Basically, about every month and a half, you'll have to read 3 full chapters of the text and take the test. The tests are timed and usually about 60 questions long. (Quizzes are normally about 10.) If you're a fast tester, you'll probably have time to look up a lot of the answers if you don't remember.
Painter just seemed like a jerk every time he posted on Blackboard. He seemed very inconvenienced by questions from students and had little to no contact with us. If you have time in your schedule, take it as a real course, cause online courses (at least this one) blows.

Easy easy web course. The last of the four online exams is during finals week, but its cake. He grades on a curve on the exams, just changes the grades after everyone finishes taking it. You dont even have to really work at this class. I skimmed over the book the day before and while i was taking the test, i had the book's website with all of the glossary definititions open and i just hunted my answers down online. One of the few bunny courses left here at WKU.

Dr Painter is a very good teacher and covers all material in class before the tests. The final is mandatory, bot 60% are direct questions from old tests.
