Dr. Crouther is a decent instructor if you are already a decent writer. If this is not the case I would strongly suggest taking a different instructor. I wrote a distinguished portfolio in high school and scored almost as high as possible on it. When I came into this class I wrote pieces that pulled Cs and Bs and she never gave me an A on anything. You have to work REALLY hard to get an A. You also have to read To Kill a Mockingbird which (I dont care what ANYONE thinks) is a terrible, monotinous book. Then your final is an in-class essay evaluating it.
Shes not terrible but be prepared to be challenged. She'll also really tell you how you need to improve as a writer and overall accomplishes what the class is supposed to accomplish.
